2011-09-07ARM: davinci: correct MDSTAT_STATE_MASKSergei Shtylyov
MDSTAT.STATE occupies bits 0..5 according to all available documentation, so fix the #define MDSTAT_STATE_MASK at last. Using the wrong value seems to have been harmless though... Signed-off-by: Sergei Shtylyov <sshtylyov@ru.mvista.com> Signed-off-by: Sekhar Nori <nsekhar@ti.com>

2011-07-19ARM: Consolidate the clkdev header filesKyungmin Park
Now most of ARM machines has the alsmot same __clk_get/put() macro So place it at the arch/arm/include/asm/clkdev.h and remove the reduntant header files But some machines don't have the same form as above. It can use the machince specific clkdev file by HAVE_MACH_CLKDEV config Now there are only 3 caese. 1) define the clk structure with clkdev macro => Need to move clk structure to proper header file arch/arm/mach-versatile/include/mach/clkdev.h arch/arm/mach-realview/include/mach/clkdev.h arch/arm/mach-vexpress/include/mach/clkdev.h arch/arm/mach-integrator/include/mach/clkdev.h 2) export the __clk_get/put function at clock.c arch/arm/mach-shmobile/include/mach/clkdev.h 3) demuxing the clk source arch/arm/mach-u300/include/mach/clkdev.h Acked-by: Viresh Kumar <viresh.kumar@st.com> Acked-by: H Hartley Sweeten <hsweeten@visionengravers.com> Acked-by: Jean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD <plagnioj@jcrosoft.com> Signed-off-by: Kyungmin Park <kyungmin.park@samsung.com>

2011-07-08davinci: da850: add support for SATA interfaceSekhar Nori
Add support for SATA controller on the DA850/OMAP-L138/AM18x devices. The patch adds the necessary clocks, platform resources and a routine to initialize the SATA controller. The PHY configuration in this patch is courtesy the work done by Zegeye Alemu, Swaminathan and Mansoor Ahamed from TI. While testing this patch, enable port multiplier support iff you are actually using one. The reasons of this behaviour are discussed here: http://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/78163/ ChangeLog: v3: Removed fields which were being initialized to zero in PHY configuration. Moved SATA base address definition to the top of the file to make it inline with what is done for the rest of the modules. v2: Addressed comments from Sergei. Removed unnecessary braces and removed unnecessary else after goto. Signed-off-by: Sekhar Nori <nsekhar@ti.com>
2011-07-08davinci: enable forced transitions on PSCSekhar Nori
Some DaVinci modules like the SATA on DA850 need forced module state transitions. Define a "force" flag which can be passed to the PSC config function to enable it to make forced transitions. Forced transitions shouldn't normally be attempted, unless the TRM explicitly specifies its usage. ChangeLog: v2: Modified to take care of the fact that davinci_psc_config() now takes the flags directly. Signed-off-by: Sekhar Nori <nsekhar@ti.com>
2011-07-08davinci: pass clock flags to davinci_psc_config()Sekhar Nori
Enabling or disabling a PSC can take certain modifiers like "disable with reset", "force enable/disable" and "enable/disable with local reset" apart from the regular clock gating functionality. Pass a flags argument to davinci_psc_config() so these variations can be supported there. At this time only "disable with reset" is supported, but other functionality will be added in subsequent patches. Signed-off-by: Sekhar Nori <nsekhar@ti.com>
2011-07-06davinci: dm6467/T EVM: fix setting up of reference clock rateSekhar Nori
The DM6467 and DM6467T EVMs use different reference clock frequencies. This difference is currently supported by having the SoC code call a public board routine which sets up the reference clock frequency. This does not scale as more boards are added. Instead, use the clk_set_rate() API to setup the reference clock frequency to a different value from the board file. 2011-05-12ARM: use ARM_DMA_ZONE_SIZE to adjust the zone sizesRussell King
Rather than each platform providing its own function to adjust the zone sizes, use the new ARM_DMA_ZONE_SIZE definition to perform this adjustment. This ensures that the actual DMA zone size and the ISA_DMA_THRESHOLD/MAX_DMA_ADDRESS definitions are consistent with each other, and moves this complexity out of the platform code. 2011-05-07ARM: zImage: remove the static qualifier from global data variablesNicolas Pitre
To be able to relocate the .bss section at run time independently from the rest of the code, we must make sure that no GOTOFF relocations are used with .bss symbols. This usually means that no global variables can be marked static unless they're also const. Let's remove the static qualifier from current offenders, or turn them into const variables when possible. Next commit will ensure the build fails if one of those is reintroduced due to otherwise enforced coding standards for the kernel. 2010-12-22davinci: am18x/da850/omap-l138: add support for higher speed gradesSekhar Nori
AM18x/DA850/OMAP-L138 SoCs have variants that can operate at a maximum of 456 MHz at 1.3V operating point. Also the 1.2V operating point has a variant that can support a maximum of 375 MHz. This patch adds three new OPPs (456 MHz, 408 MHz and 372 MHz) to the list of DA850 OPPs. Not all silicon is qualified to run at higher speeds and unfortunately the maximum speed the chip can support can only be determined from the label on the package (not software readable). Because of this, we depend on the maximum speed grade information to be provided to us in some board specific way. The board informs the maximum speed grade information by setting the da850_max_speed variable. Signed-off-by: Sekhar Nori <nsekhar@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Hilman <khilman@deeprootsystems.com>

2010-11-18spi: davinci: do not allocate DMA channels during SPI device setupSekhar Nori
Do not allocate (and de-allocate) SPI DMA channels during setup (and cleanup) for each SPI device. Instead, allocate the DMA channels once duing probe and use them for the life time of the driver. This makes sense since there are dedicated DMA channels meant for SPI use. This also helps remove the unnecessary DMA "sync_dev" variables being used to store DMA channel information. Also, the "use_dma" platform variable is now eliminated since it is possible to check if the platform supports DMA or not based upon whether DMA resources can be found or not.
