2015-08-16ARM: OMAP2+: hwmod: Fix _wait_target_ready() for hwmods without syscRoger Quadros
commit 9a258afa928b45e6dd2efcac46ccf7eea705d35a upstream. For hwmods without sysc, _init_mpu_rt_base(oh) won't be called and so _find_mpu_rt_port(oh) will return NULL thus preventing ready state check on those modules after the module is enabled. This can potentially cause a bus access error if the module is accessed before the module is ready. Fix this by unconditionally calling _init_mpu_rt_base() during hwmod _init(). Do ioremap only if we need SYSC access. Eventhough _wait_target_ready() check doesn't really need MPU RT port but just the PRCM registers, we still mandate that the hwmod must have an MPU RT port if ready state check needs to be done. Else it would mean that the module is not accessible by MPU so there is no point in waiting for target to be ready. e.g. this fixes the below DCAN bus access error on AM437x-gp-evm. 2015-03-06ARM: DRA7: hwmod: Fix boot crash with DEBUG_LL enabled on UART3Lokesh Vutla
commit 1c7e36bfc3e2fb2df5e2d1989a4b6fb9055a0f9b upstream. With commit '7dedd34: ARM: OMAP2+: hwmod: Fix a crash in _setup_reset() with DEBUG_LL' we moved from parsing cmdline to identify uart used for earlycon to using the requsite hwmod CONFIG_DEBUG_OMAPxUARTy FLAGS. On DRA7 UART3 hwmod doesn't have this flag enabled, and atleast on BeagleBoard-X15, where we use UART3 for console, boot fails with DEBUG_LL enabled. Enable DEBUG_OMAP4UART3_FLAGS for UART3 hwmod. For using DEBUG_LL, enable CONFIG_DEBUG_OMAP4UART3 in menuconfig. omap4_init_static_deps commit 9008d83fe9dc2e0f19b8ba17a423b3759d8e0fd7 upstream. Commit 705814b5ea6f ("ARM: OMAP4+: PM: Consolidate OMAP4 PM code to re-use it for OMAP5") Moved logic generic for OMAP5+ as part of the init routine by introducing omap4_pm_init. However, the patch left the powerdomain initial setup, an unused omap4430 es1.0 check and a spurious log "Power Management for TI OMAP4." in the original code. Remove the duplicate code which is already present in omap4_pm_init from omap4_init_static_deps. As part of this change, also move the u-boot version print out of the static dependency function to the omap4_pm_init function. commit f7f7a29bf0cf25af23f37e5b5bf1368b85705286 upstream. To deal with IPs which are specific to dra74x and dra72x, maintain seperate ocp interface lists, while keeping the common list for all common IPs. Move USB OTG SS4 to dra74x only list since its unavailable in dra72x and is giving an abort during boot. 2014-09-05ARM: OMAP2+: hwmod: Rearm wake-up interrupts for DT when MUSB is idledTony Lindgren
commit cc824534d4fef0e46e4486d5c1e10d3c6b1ebadc upstream. Looks like MUSB cable removal can cause wake-up interrupts to stop working for device tree based booting at least for UART3 even as nothing is dynamically remuxed. This can be fixed by calling reconfigure_io_chain() for device tree based booting in hwmod code. Note that we already do that for legacy booting if the legacy mux is configured. My guess is that this is related to UART3 and MUSB ULPI hsusb0_data0 and hsusb0_data1 support for Carkit mode that somehow affect the configured IO chain for UART3 and require rearming the wake-up interrupts. In general, for device tree based booting, pinctrl-single calls the rearm hook that in turn calls reconfigure_io_chain so calling reconfigure_io_chain should not be needed from the hwmod code for other events. So let's limit the hwmod rearming of iochain only to HWMOD_FORCE_MSTANDBY where MUSB is currently the only user of it. If we see other devices needing similar changes we can add more checks for it. 2014-07-09ARM: OMAP2+: Fix parser-bug in platform muxing codeDavid R. Piegdon
commit c021f241f4fab2bb4fc4120a38a828a03dd3f970 upstream. Fix a parser-bug in the omap2 muxing code where muxtable-entries will be wrongly selected if the requested muxname is a *prefix* of their m0-entry and they have a matching mN-entry. Fix by additionally checking that the length of the m0_entry is equal. For example muxing of "dss_data2.dss_data2" on omap32xx will fail because the prefix "dss_data2" will match the mux-entries "dss_data2" as well as "dss_data20", with the suffix "dss_data2" matching m0 (for dss_data2) and m4 (for dss_data20). Thus both are recognized as signal path candidates: Relevant muxentries from mux34xx.c: _OMAP3_MUXENTRY(DSS_DATA20, 90, "dss_data20", NULL, "mcspi3_somi", "dss_data2", "gpio_90", NULL, NULL, "safe_mode"), _OMAP3_MUXENTRY(DSS_DATA2, 72, "dss_data2", NULL, NULL, NULL, "gpio_72", NULL, NULL, "safe_mode"), This will result in a failure to mux the pin at all: _omap_mux_get_by_name: Multiple signal paths (2) for dss_data2.dss_data2 Patch should apply to linus' latest master down to rather old linux-2.6 trees. 2014-06-11ARM: OMAP4: Fix the boot regression with CPU_IDLE enabledSantosh Shilimkar
commit 4b353a706a86598ba47307c47301c3c428b79e09 upstream. On OMAP4 panda board, there have been several bug reports about boot hang and lock-ups with CPU_IDLE enabled. The root cause of the issue is missing interrupts while in idle state. Commit cb7094e8 {cpuidle / omap4 : use CPUIDLE_FLAG_TIMER_STOP flag} moved the broadcast notifiers to common code for right reasons but on OMAP4 which suffers from a nasty ROM code bug with GIC, commit ff999b8a {ARM: OMAP4460: Workaround for ROM bug ..}, we loose interrupts which leads to issues like lock-up, hangs etc. Patch reverts commit cb7094 {cpuidle / omap4 : use CPUIDLE_FLAG_TIMER_STOP flag} and 54769d6 {cpuidle: OMAP4: remove timer broadcast initialization} to avoid the issue. With this change, OMAP4 panda boards, the mentioned issues are getting fixed. We no longer loose interrupts which was the cause of the regression. 2014-05-06ARM: OMAP2+: hwmod: fix missing braces in _init()Suman Anna
commit 3d36ad7e7a9be0d130c862727a052ed279046437 upstream. Bug was introduced by commit 'f92d959: ARM: OMAP2+: hwmod: Extract no-idle and no-reset info from DT' There were 2 versions of the patch posted which resulted in the above commit. While v1 [1] had the bug, v2 [2] had it fixed. However v1 apparently seemed to have been pulled in by mistake introducing the bug. Given of_find_property() does return NULL when the node passed is NULL, it did not introduce any functional issues as such, just the fact that the second if check was executed unnecessarily. 2014-05-06ARM: OMAP2+: INTC: Acknowledge stuck active interruptsStefan Sørensen
commit 698b48532539484b012fb7c4176b959d32a17d00 upstream. When an interrupt has become active on the INTC it will stay active until it is acked, even if masked or de-asserted. The INTC_PENDING_IRQn registers are however updated and since these are used by omap_intc_handle_irq to determine which interrupt to handle, it will never see the active interrupt. This will result in a storm of useless interrupts that is only stopped when another higher priority interrupt is asserted. Fix by sending the INTC an acknowledge if we find no interrupts to handle. Basic build, boot, and PM test logs are available here: http://www.pwsan.com/omap/testlogs/prcm-fixes-a-v3.14-rc/20140219131753/ Note that most full-chip PM is broken since the v3.14 merge; it's not caused by this series.
2014-02-19ARM: OMAP2+: clock: fix clkoutx2 with CLK_SET_RATE_PARENTTomi Valkeinen
If CLK_SET_RATE_PARENT is set for a clkoutx2 clock, calling clk_set_rate() on the clock "skips" the x2 multiplier as there are no set_rate and round_rate functions defined for the clkoutx2. This results in getting double the requested clock rates, breaking the display on omap3430 based devices. This got broken when d0f58bd3bba3877fb1af4664c4e33273d36f00e4 and related patches were merged for v3.14, as omapdss driver now relies more on the clk-framework and CLK_SET_RATE_PARENT. A handful of these are for various DT fixups for Samsung platforms, and a handful of other minor things. There are also a couple of stable-marked patches for mvebu -- they came in quite late and we decided to keep them deferred until the first -stable release to get more coverage instead of squeezing them into 3.13" * tag 'fixes-nc-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (32 commits) ARM: at91: smc: bug fix in sam9_smc_cs_read() i2c: mv64xxx: Document the newly introduced Armada XP A0 compatible i2c: mv64xxx: Fix bus hang on A0 version of the Armada XP SoCs ARM: mvebu: Add quirk for i2c for the OpenBlocks AX3-4 board ARM: mvebu: Add support to get the ID and the revision of a SoC ARM: dts: msm: Fix gpio interrupt and reg length irqchip: sirf: set IRQ_LEVEL status_flags ARM: OMAP2+: gpmc: Move legacy GPMC width setting ARM: OMAP2+: gpmc: Introduce gpmc_set_legacy() ARM: OMAP2+: gpmc: Move initialization outside the gpmc_t condition ARM: OMAP2+: board-generic: update SoC compatibility strings Documentation: dt: OMAP: explicitly state SoC compatible strings ARM: OMAP2+: enable AM33xx SOC EVM audio ARM: OMAP2+: Select USB PHY for AM335x SoC ARM: bcm2835: Fix grammar in help message ARM: msm: trout: fix uninit var warning ARM: dts: Use MSHC controller for eMMC memory for exynos4412-trats2 ARM: dts: Fix definition of MSHC device tree nodes for exynos4x12 ARM: dts: add clock provider for mshc node for Exynos4412 SOC clk: samsung: exynos4: Fix definition of div_mmc_pre4 divider ...

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap into next/boards Split omap3 core padconf area into two as some of the registers in the padconf area are not accessible and used for other devices. Also fix the interrupt number for omap2 RNG, and add basic support for sbc-3xxx with cm-t3730. Note that the minor merge conflicts for omap_hwmod_2xxx_ipblock_data.c can be solved by just dropping the legacy hwmod data for interrupts for v3.14. * tag 'omap-for-v3.14/dt-signed' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap: ARM: dts: OMAP2: fix interrupt number for rng ARM: dts: Split omap3 pinmux core device ARM: dts: Add omap specific pinctrl defines to use padconf addresses ARM: dts: Add support for sbc-3xxx with cm-t3730 Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net>
2014-01-21arch/arm/mach-omap2/omap_hwmod.c: use memblock apis for early memory allocationsSantosh Shilimkar
Switch to memblock interfaces for early memory allocator instead of bootmem allocator. No functional change in beahvior than what it is in current code from bootmem users points of view. Archs already converted to NO_BOOTMEM now directly use memblock interfaces instead of bootmem wrappers build on top of memblock. And the archs which still uses bootmem, these new apis just fallback to exiting bootmem APIs. Signed-off-by: Santosh Shilimkar <santosh.shilimkar@ti.com> Cc: "Rafael J.
