2011-01-12KVM: Clean up vm creation and releaseJan Kiszka
IA64 support forces us to abstract the allocation of the kvm structure. But instead of mixing this up with arch-specific initialization and doing the same on destruction, split both steps. This allows to move generic destruction calls into generic code. It also fixes error clean-up on failures of kvm_create_vm for IA64. Memory aliases with different memory type is a problem for guest. For the guest without assigned device, the memory type of guest memory would always been the same as host(WB); but for the assigned device, some part of memory may be used as DMA and then set to uncacheable memory type(UC/WC), which would be a conflict of host memory type then be a potential issue. Snooping control can guarantee the cache correctness of memory go through the DMA engine of VT-d. Every call of kvm_set_irq() should offer an irq_source_id, which is allocated by kvm_request_irq_source_id(). Based on irq_source_id, we identify the irq source and implement logical OR for shared level interrupts. The allocated irq_source_id can be freed by kvm_free_irq_source_id(). Currently, we support at most sizeof(unsigned long) different irq sources. 2008-08-01[IA64] Move include/asm-ia64 to arch/ia64/include/asmTony Luck
After moving the the include files there were a few clean-ups: 1) Some files used #include <asm-ia64/xyz.h>, changed to <asm/xyz.h> 2) Some comments alerted maintainers to look at various header files to make matching updates if certain code were to be changed. Updated these comments to use the new include paths. 3) Some header files mentioned their own names in initial comments. Just deleted these self references.
