2008-04-17[POWERPC] 85xx: Fix the size of qe muram for MPC8568EHaiying Wang
MPC8568E has 64K byte MURAM, so the size should be 0x10000, not 0xc000. Signed-off-by: Haiying Wang <Haiying.Wang@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-04-17[POWERPC] 85xx: minor .dts cleanupsKumar Gala
* remove #cpus from mpc8544ds.dts (not used anywhere else) * remove memreserve from mpc8568mds.dts (not needed) Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>

2008-04-17[POWERPC] QE: UCC nodes cleanupAnton Vorontsov
- get rid of `model = "UCC"' in the ucc nodes It isn't used anywhere, so remove it. If we'll ever need something like this, we'll use compatible property instead. - replace last occurrences of device-id with cell-index. Drivers are modified for backward compatibility's sake. 2008-01-28[POWERPC] QE: Explicitly set address-cells and size cells for muramPaul Gortmaker
Currently there are several dts that don't specify address or size cells for the muram. This causes dtc to use default values, one of which is an address-cells of two, and this breaks the parsing of the muram ranges, which is assuming an address-cells of one. For example: Warning (reg_format): "reg" property in /qe@e0100000/muram@10000/data-only@0 has invalid length (8 bytes) (#address-cells == 2, #size-cells == 1) Explicitly setting the address and size cells gets it parsed properly and gets rid of the four dtc warnings. 2008-01-28[POWERPC] fsl_spi: stop using device_type = "spi"Anton Vorontsov
Also: - rename "fsl_spi" to "fsl, spi"; - add and use cell-index property, if found; - split probing code out of fsl_spi_init, thus we can call it for legacy device_type probing and new "compatible" probing. Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <avorontsov@ru.mvista.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-01-28ucc_geth: get rid of device_type for mdioAnton Vorontsov
device_type property is bogus, thus use proper compatible. Also change compatible property to "fsl,ucc-mdio". Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <avorontsov@ru.mvista.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-01-28[POWERPC] QE: get rid of most device_types and modelAnton Vorontsov
Now we're searching for "fsl,qe", "fsl,qe-muram", "fsl,qe-muram-data" and "fsl,qe-ic". Unfortunately it's still impossible to remove device_type = "qe" from the existing device trees because older u-boots are looking for it. 2007-12-14[POWERPC] ucc_geth: use rx-clock-name and tx-clock-name device tree propertiesTimur Tabi
Updates the ucc_geth device driver to check the new rx-clock-name and tx-clock-name properties first. If present, it uses the new function qe_clock_source() to obtain the clock source. Otherwise, it checks the deprecated rx-clock and tx-clock properties. Update the device trees for 832x, 836x, and 8568 to contain the new property names only. Signed-off-by: Timur Tabi <timur@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2007-12-12[POWERPC] FSL: Added aliases node to device treesKumar Gala

2007-12-12[POWERPC] FSL: enet device tree cleanupsKumar Gala
* Removed address fields in ethernet nodes * Removed #address-cells, #size-cells from gianfar nodes * Added cell-index to gianfar and ucc ethernet nodes * Added enet[0..3] labels * Renamed compatible node for gianfar mdio to "fsl,gianfar-mdio" * Removed device_type = "mdio" The matching for gianfar mdio still supports the old "mdio"/"gianfar" combo but it is now considered deprecated. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2007-12-11[POWERPC] FSL: I2C device tree cleanupsKumar Gala
* Removed device_type = "i2c" * Added missing second I2C controller on MPC8548 CDS, MPC8544 DS * Added #address-cells, #size-cells, and cell-index where missing Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2007-10-08[POWERPC] 85xx: mpc8568mds - update dts to be able to use UCCsAnton Vorontsov
1. UCC1's RX_DV pin is 16, not 15; 2. UCC1's phy is at 0x7, not 0x1. Schematics says 0x7, and recent u-boot also using 0x7. 3. Use gianfar's (eTSEC) mdio bus. This is hardware default setup. 4. tx-clock should be CLK16 (GE125, PB31); 5. phy-connection-type is RGMII-ID; Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <avorontsov@ru.mvista.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2007-10-08[POWERPC] Fixup MPC8568 dtsKumar Gala
The PCI nodes on the MPC8568 dts didn't get moved up to be sibilings of the SOC node when we did that clean up for some reason. Fix that up and some minor whitespace and adjusting the size of the soc reg property. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2007-10-04[POWERPC] mpc8568mds.dts: fix PCIe I/O address space location and sizeAnton Vorontsov
According to u-boot/board/mpc8568mds/init.S: LAW(Local Access Window) configuration: 2) 0xa000_0000 0xbfff_ffff PCIe MEM 512MB 4) 0xe280_0000 0xe2ff_ffff PCIe I/O 8M Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <avorontsov@ru.mvista.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2007-10-04[POWERPC] MPC8568E-MDS: add support for ds1374 rtcAnton Vorontsov
MPC8568E-MDS have DS1374 chip on the I2C bus, thus let's use it. This patch also adds #address-cells and #size-cells to the I2C controllers nodes. p.s. DS1374 rtc class driver is in the -mm tree, its name is rtc-rtc-class-driver-for-the-ds1374.patch. 2007-07-03[POWERPC] Reworked interrupt numbers for OpenPIC based Freescale chipsKumar Gala
Make the interrupt numbers match the OpenPIC spec intead of the Freescale docs which distinguish between internal and external interrupts. Now we can use the interrupt number directly to find the register offset associated with it. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2007-07-03[POWERPC] Fix MAC address entries for 83xx, 85xx, and 86xx device treesTimur Tabi
For the 83xx, 85xx, and 86xx device trees, add a "local-mac-address" property to every Ethernet node that didn't have one. Add a comment indicating that the "address" and/or "mac-address" properties are deprecated in DTS files and will be removed at a later time. Change all MAC address properties to have a zero MAC address value. Signed-off-by: Timur Tabi <timur@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
