2014-03-03hwmon: (max1668) Don't hide return value from i2c_smbus_write_byte_dataGuenter Roeck
i2c_smbus_write_byte_data returns a valid error code. Return it to the user instead of replacing it with -EIO. Signed-off-by: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net> Reviewed-by: Jean Delvare <jdelvare@suse.de>
2014-02-18hwmon: (max1668) Fix writing the minimum temperatureGuenter Roeck
When trying to set the minimum temperature, the driver was erroneously writing the maximum temperature into the chip. Signed-off-by: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net> Cc: stable@vger.kernel.org # v3.2+ Reviewed-by: Jean Delvare <jdelvare@suse.de>
2013-01-25hwmon: Replace SENSORS_LIMIT with clamp_valGuenter Roeck
SENSORS_LIMIT and the generic clamp_val have the same functionality, and clamp_val is more efficient. This patch reduces text size by 9052 bytes and bss size by 11624 bytes for x86_64 builds. 2012-03-18hwmon: convert drivers/hwmon/* to use module_i2c_driver()Axel Lin
This patch converts the drivers in drivers/hwmon/* to use the module_i2c_driver() macro which makes the code smaller and a bit simpler. 2012-01-13module_param: make bool parameters really bool (drivers & misc)Rusty Russell
module_param(bool) used to counter-intuitively take an int. In fddd5201 (mid-2009) we allowed bool or int/unsigned int using a messy trick. It's time to remove the int/unsigned int option. For this version it'll simply give a warning, but it'll break next kernel version. Acked-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Rusty Russell <rusty@rustcorp.com.au>

2011-07-28hwmon: (max1668) Add support for tempX_fault attributesGuenter Roeck
MAX1668 and compatibles have several external temperature sensors, but only a single FAULT status bit. If a fault occurs, the temperature reported on the affected sensors is 127 degrees C. Use this knowledge to report fault on external sensors. Signed-off-by: Guenter Roeck <guenter.roeck@ericsson.com> Acked-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org>
