2013-10-02ssb: provide phy address for Gigabit Ethernet driverHauke Mehrtens
Add a function to provide the phy address which should be used to the Gigabit Ethernet driver connected to ssb. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de> Reviewed-by: Nithin Nayak Sujir <nsujir@broadcom.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2013-02-07ssb: get mac address from sprom struct for gige driverHauke Mehrtens
The mac address is already stored in the sprom structure by the platform code of the SoC this Ethernet core is found on, it just has to be fetched from this structure instead of accessing the nvram here. This patch also adds a return value to indicate if a mac address could be fetched from the sprom structure. When CONFIG_SSB_DRIVER_GIGE is not set the header file now also declares ssb_gige_get_macaddr(). 2012-03-04BUG: headers with BUG/BUG_ON etc. need linux/bug.hPaul Gortmaker
If a header file is making use of BUG, BUG_ON, BUILD_BUG_ON, or any other BUG variant in a static inline (i.e. not in a #define) then that header really should be including <linux/bug.h> and not just expecting it to be implicitly present. We can make this change risk-free, since if the files using these headers didn't have exposure to linux/bug.h already, they would have been causing compile failures/warnings. 2010-12-16SSB: Fix nvram_get on BCM47xx platformHauke Mehrtens
The nvram_get function was never in the mainline kernel, it only existed in an external OpenWrt patch. Use nvram_getenv function, which is in mainline and use an include instead of an extra function declaration. et0macaddr contains the mac address in text from like 00:11:22:33:44:55. We have to parse it before adding it into macaddr. nvram_parse_macaddr will be merged into asm/mach-bcm47xx/nvram.h through the MIPS git tree and will be available soon. It will not build now without nvram_parse_macaddr, but it hasn't before either. 2008-03-06ssb: Add Gigabit Ethernet driverMichael Buesch
This adds the Gigabit Ethernet driver for the SSB Gigabit Ethernet core. This driver actually is a frontend to the Tigon3 driver. So the real work is done by tg3. This device is used in the Linksys WRT350N. Signed-off-by: Michael Buesch <mb@bu3sch.de> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
