From a3264435b4ca1ccee54cbef2970f2ba4bef39e2d Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: YOSHIFUJI Hideaki Date: Mon, 19 May 2008 16:54:29 -0700 Subject: ipv6 addrconf: Fix route lifetime setting in corner case. Because of arithmetic overflow avoidance, the actual lifetime setting (vs the value given by RA) did not increase monotonically around 0x7fffffff/HZ. Otherwise the return values from nf_hook and dst_output may clash as they both use the value 1 but for different purposes. When that clash occurs this can cause a packet to be used after it has been freed which usually leads to a crash. Because the offending value is only returned from dst_output with qdiscs such as HTB, this bug is normally not visible. Thanks to Marco Berizzi for his perseverance in tracking this down.
