2016-09-01ARM: dts: exynos: Add missing unit name to memory nodes in Exynos5 DTSJavier Martinez Canillas
This patch fixes the following DTC warnings: "Node /memory has a reg or ranges property, but no unit name" Signed-off-by: Javier Martinez Canillas <javier@osg.samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzk@kernel.org>
2016-09-01ARM: dts: exynos: Remove skeleton.dtsi usage for Exynos5Javier Martinez Canillas
The skeleton.dtsi file was removed in ARM64 for different reasons as explained in commit ("3ebee5a2e141 arm64: dts: kill skeleton.dtsi"). These also applies to ARM and it will also allow to get rid of the following DTC warnings in the future: "Node /memory has a reg or ranges property, but no unit name" The disassembled DTB are almost the same besides an empty chosen node being removed and nodes reordered, so it should not have functional changes. 2016-08-24ARM: dts: exynos: Use 'hpd-gpios' instead of 'hpd-gpio'Milo Kim
This patch enables getting a HPD GPIO descriptor quicker. The exynos-hdmi driver uses "hpd" for HDMI hot plug detection. static int hdmi_resources_init(struct hdmi_context *hdata) { ... hdata->hpd_gpio = devm_gpiod_get(dev, "hpd", GPIOD_IN); ... } This calls 'of_find_gpio()' and it generates the GPIO consumer ID by referring GPIO suffix. So 'hpd-gpios' is preferred on getting a GPIO descriptor. However, if the device tree uses 'hpd-gpio', then the exynos-hdmi driver always retries to get a GPIO descriptor because the first GPIO suffix is not 'gpio' but 'gpios'. So you always see the debug message below. of_get_named_gpiod_flags: can't parse 'hpd-gpios' property of node '/soc/hdmi@14530000[0]' Use the preferred property, 'hpd-gpios' instead of 'hpd-gpio'. Unfortunately, the size of this branch also causes a significant number of conflicts at the moment, typically when subsystem maintainers merge patches that change the driver at the same time as the dts files. The minimum recommended ARM voltage for Exynos5250 at 200MHz on Arndale board is 0.9125V. Update accordingly. Signed-off-by: Sachin Kamat <sachin.kamat@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Kukjin Kim <kgene.kim@samsung.com>
2013-12-16ARM: dts: rename mmc dts node for exynos5 seriesYuvaraj Kumar C D
This patch rename's the device tree mmc node's from "dwmmc" to "mmc". According to ePAPR chapter 2.2.2 generic node name recommendation, it has been opted change from dwmmc to mmc. Also this patch remove the instance index from the node name. 2013-12-16ARM: dts: Move fifo-depth property from exynos5250 board dtsYuvaraj Kumar C D
As fifo-depth property in dw_mmc device tree node is SOC specific, move this property to exynos5250 SOC specific file. 2013-12-16ARM: dts: change status property of dwmmc nodes for exynos5250Yuvaraj Kumar C D
According to ePAPR, chapter 2.3.4, the status property has defined that it should be set to "disabled" when "the device is not presently operational, but it might become operational in the future". So this patch disable dwmmc node by "status = disabled" in SOC dts file and enable dwmmc node by "status = okay" in board specific dts file. Though the default value is 1, add it explicitly to avoid unnecessary boot warnings and for consistency. Signed-off-by: Sachin Kamat <sachin.kamat@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Kukjin Kim <kgene.kim@samsung.com>
2013-10-08ARM: dts: Add HDMI related I2C nodes for Arndale boardSachin Kamat
Updated I2C nodes for HDMI-DDC and HDMI-PHY for Arndale board. Signed-off-by: Sachin Kamat <sachin.kamat@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Tushar Behera <tushar.behera@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Kukjin Kim <kgene.kim@samsung.com>
2013-10-07ARM: dts: Disable Exynos5250 I2S controllers by defaultMark Brown
Rather than requiring each board to explicitly disable the I2S controllers it is not using instead require boards to enable those that they are using. This is required for audio operation on Arndale, one of the unused I2S controllers is pinmuxed with the LDO enable GPIOs for the WM1811A. 2013-10-06ARM: dts: Add reg property to regulator nodes in exynos5250-arndaleSachin Kamat
For consistency and correctness, since this is a bus, even if not physical, it is worth to add 'reg' property and unit-address to subnodes. The 'reg' property would merely be an index. Also for consistency, use "regulator" as node name as used most commonly across other dts files. 2013-08-26ARM: dts: Update the "status" property of RTC DT node for Exynos5250 SoCVikas Sajjan
Moves the RTC DT node's "status" property from exynos5250 board (arndale & snow) dts files to exynos5250.dtsi, since the bindings in exynos5250.dtsi depicts the RTC h/w completely. 2013-08-19ARM: dts: Enable USB hub on ArndaleMark Brown
The Arndale has a SMSC USB3503 connected in hardware only mode like a PHY, support it using the usb-nop-xceiv binding. Note that due to a regrettable decision to use a regulator to represent the reset signal this uses a fixed voltage regulator to do that, there is a plan to use the reset controller binding once that is merged so it does not seem worthwhile to fix the usb-nop-xceiv driver at this point.
