2020-08-13ARM: dts: imx6qdl: Fix SPDIF regressionFabio Estevam
Commit 833f2cbf7091 ("ARM: dts: imx6: change the core clock of spdif") changed many more clocks than only the SPDIF core clock as stated in the commit message. The MLB clock has been added and this causes SPDIF regression as reported by Xavi Drudis Ferran and also in this forum post: https://forum.digikey.com/thread/34240 The MX6Q Reference Manual does not mention that MLB is a clock related to SPDIF, so change it back to a dummy clock to restore SPDIF functionality. Thanks to Ambika for providing the fix at: https://community.nxp.com/thread/387131 Fixes: 833f2cbf7091 ("ARM: dts: imx6: change the core clock of spdif") Cc: <stable@vger.kernel.org> # 4.4.x Reported-by: Xavi Drudis Ferran <xdrudis@tinet.cat> Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@nxp.com> Tested-by: Xavi Drudis Ferran <xdrudis@tinet.cat> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org> (cherry picked from commit f065e9e4addd75c21bb976bb2558648bf4f61de6) This fix was correct, but overwritten by commit 833f2cbf7091099baee28136dc68678e974c0ac5. MLB (Media Local Bus) Clock is in fact not related to SPDIF according to the MX6Q Reference Manual. Tested playback and record on pulseaudio with 44.1kHz samples. 2019-11-25Revert "ARM: dts: imx6: Use correct SDMA script for SPI cores"Robin Gong
There are two ways for SDMA accessing SPBA devices: one is SDMA->AIPS ->SPBA(masterA port), another is SDMA->SPBA(masterC port). Please refer to the 'Figure 58-1. i.MX 6Dual/6Quad SPBA connectivity' of i.mx6DQ Reference Manual. SDMA provide the corresponding app_2_mcu/mcu_2_app and shp_2_mcu/mcu_2_shp script for such two options. So both AIPS and SPBA scripts should keep the same behaviour, the issue only caught in AIPS script sounds not solide. The issue is more likely as the ecspi errata ERR009165(http://www.nxp.com/docs/en/errata/IMX6DQCE.pdf): eCSPI: TXFIFO empty flag glitch can cause the current FIFO transfer to be sent twice So revert commit 'dd4b487b32a3' firstly. 2019-08-19ARM: dts: imx6: drop gpmi-nand address and size cellsMarco Felsch
Since commit fe2585e9c29a ("doc: dt: mtd: support partitions in a special 'partitions' subnode") and commit 5cfdedb7b9a0 ("mtd: ofpart: move ofpart partitions to a dedicated dt node") the partitioning should be within a partitions sub-node. Baseboard device trees following that scheme will get a dtc warning due to the predefined #address-cells and #size-cells properties: arch/arm/boot/dts/imx6qdl.dtsi:171.26-189.5: Warning (avoid_unnecessary_addr_size): /soc/gpmi-nand@112000: unnecessary #address-cells/#size-cells without "ranges" or child "reg" property I found no upstream imx6 baseboard using the old partitioning scheme, so we can drop the two properties to avoid such warnings. 2019-04-11ARM: dts: imx6qdl: Specify IMX6QDL_CLK_IPG as "ipg" clock to SDMAAndrey Smirnov
Since 25aaa75df1e6 SDMA driver uses clock rates of "ipg" and "ahb" clock to determine if it needs to configure the IP block as operating at 1:1 or 1:2 clock ratio (ACR bit in SDMAARM_CONFIG). Specifying both clocks as IMX6QDL_CLK_SDMA results in driver incorrectly thinking that ratio is 1:1 which results in broken SDMA funtionality(this at least breaks RAVE SP serdev driver on RDU2). Fix the code to specify IMX6QDL_CLK_IPG as "ipg" clock for SDMA, to avoid detecting incorrect clock ratio. 2017-12-26ARM: dts: imx6: Move nodes which have no reg property out of busFabio Estevam
Move tempmon, ldb and pmu nodes from soc node to root node. The nodes that have been moved do not have any register properties and thus shouldn't be placed on the bus. This fixes the following build warnings with W=1: arch/arm/boot/dts/imx6dl-apf6dev.dtb: Warning (simple_bus_reg): Node /soc/aips-bus@2000000/tempmon missing or empty reg/ranges property arch/arm/boot/dts/imx6dl-apf6dev.dtb: Warning (simple_bus_reg): Node /soc/aips-bus@2000000/ldb missing or empty reg/ranges property arch/arm/boot/dts/imx6dl-apf6dev.dtb: Warning (simple_bus_reg): Node /soc/pmu missing or empty reg/ranges property Based on a patch from Simon Horman for r8a7795.dtsi. imx7s/imx7d has the ptp interrupt newly added as well. For imx7, "int0" is the interrupt for queue 0 and ENET_MII "int1" is for queue 1 "int2" is for queue 2 For imx6sx, "int0" handles all 3 queues and ENET_MII And of course, the "pps" interrupt is for the PTP_CLOCK_PPS interrupts This will help document what each interrupt does. 2017-06-14ARM: dts: imx6qdl: Add video multiplexers, mipi_csi, and their connectionsPhilipp Zabel
This patch adds the device tree graph connecting the input multiplexers to the IPU CSIs and the MIPI-CSI2 gasket on i.MX6. The MIPI_IPU multiplexers are added as children of the iomuxc-gpr syscon device node. On i.MX6Q/D two two-input multiplexers in front of IPU1 CSI0 and IPU2 CSI1 allow to select between CSI0/1 parallel input pads and the MIPI CSI-2 virtual channels 0/3. On i.MX6DL/S two five-input multiplexers in front of IPU1 CSI0 and IPU1 CSI1 allow to select between CSI0/1 parallel input pads and any of the four MIPI CSI-2 virtual channels. Changes from Steve Longerbeam: - Removed some dangling/unused endpoints (ipu2_csi0_from_csi2ipu) - Renamed the mipi virtual channel endpoint labels, from "mipi_csiX_..." to "mipi_vcX...". - Added input endpoint anchors to the video muxes for the connections from parallel sensors.
