2020-02-09ARM: dts: imx6ul: Fix memory node duplicationFabio Estevam
Boards based on imx6ul have duplicate memory nodes: - One coming from the board dts file: memory@ - One coming from the imx6ul.dtsi file. Fix the duplication by removing the memory node from the dtsi file and by adding 'device_type = "memory";' in the board dts. 2019-06-15ARM: dts: imx6ul: Specify IMX6UL_CLK_IPG as "ipg" clock to SDMAAndrey Smirnov
[ Upstream commit 7b3132ecefdd1fcdf6b86e62021d0e55ea8034db ] Since 25aaa75df1e6 SDMA driver uses clock rates of "ipg" and "ahb" clock to determine if it needs to configure the IP block as operating at 1:1 or 1:2 clock ratio (ACR bit in SDMAARM_CONFIG). Specifying both clocks as IMX6UL_CLK_SDMA results in driver incorrectly thinking that ratio is 1:1 which results in broken SDMA funtionality. Fix the code to specify IMX6UL_CLK_IPG as "ipg" clock for SDMA, to avoid detecting incorrect clock ratio. 2017-02-07ARM: DTS: Fix register map for virt-capable GICMarc Zyngier
Since everybody copied my own mistake from the DT binding example, let's address all the offenders in one swift go. Most of them got the CPU interface size wrong (4kB, while it should be 8kB), except for both keystone platforms which got the control interface wrong (4kB instead of 8kB). In a few cases where I knew for sure what implementation was used, I've added the "arm,gic-400" compatible string. I'm 99% sure that this is what everyone is using, but short of having the TRM for all the other SoCs, I've left them alone. 2017-01-24ARM: dts: imx: Pass 'chosen' and 'memory' nodesFabio Estevam
Commit 7f107887d199 ("ARM: dts: imx: Remove skeleton.dtsi") causes boot issues when the bootloader does not create a 'chosen' node if such node is not present in the dtb. The reason for the boot failure is well explained by Javier Martinez Canillas: "the decompressor relies on a pre-existing chosen node to be available to insert the command line and merge other ATAGS info." , so pass an empty 'chosen' node to fix the boot problem. This issue has been seen in the kernelci reports with Barebox as bootloader. Also pass the 'memory' node in order to fix boot issues on the SolidRun iMX6 platforms.
