clk_get() on a disabled clock node will return -EPROBE_DEFER, which can cause drivers to be deferred forever if such clocks are referenced in their devices' clocks properties. Update the various disabled external clock nodes to default to a frequency of 0, but don't disable them, to prevent this. 2016-04-20ARM: dts: r8a7779: Correct interrupt type for ARM TWDGeert Uytterhoeven
The ARM TWD interrupt is a private peripheral interrupt (PPI), and per the ARM GIC documentation, whether the type for PPIs can be set is IMPLEMENTATION DEFINED. For R-Car H1 devices the PPI type cannot be set, and so when we attempt to set the type for the ARM TWD interrupt it fails. This has gone unnoticed because it fails silently, and because we cannot re-configure the type it has had no impact. Nevertheless fix the type for the TWD interrupt so that it matches the hardware configuration. Based on patches by Jon Hunter for Tegra20/30 and OMAP4. Add the device node for the external SCIF_CLK. The presence of the SCIF_CLK crystal and its clock frequency depends on the actual board. Add the two optional clock sources (S1 and SCIF_CLK for the internal resp. external clock) for the Baud Rate Generator for External Clock (BRG) to all SCIF device nodes. This applies to most on-SoC devices, which have a one-to-one mapping from SoC device to DT device node. In general Renesas hardware is not documented to the extent where the relationship between IP blocks on different SoCs can be assumed although they may appear to operate the same way. Furthermore the documentation typically does not specify a version for individual IP blocks. For these reasons a convention of using the SoC name in place of a version and providing SoC-specific compat strings has been adopted. Although not universally liked this convention is used in the bindings for a number of drivers for Renesas hardware. Most of this is plumbing for various device bindings and new platforms, but there's also a bit of cleanup and code removal for things that are moved from platform code to DT contents (some OMAP clock code in particular). There's also a pinctrl driver for tegra here (appropriately acked), that's introduced this way to make it more bisectable. I'm happy to say that there were no conflicts at all with this branch this release, which means that changes are flowing through our tree as expected instead of merged through driver maintainers (or at least not done with conflicts).
