2015-07-17ARM/netx/time: Migrate to new 'set-state' interfaceViresh Kumar
Migrate netx driver to the new 'set-state' interface provided by clockevents core, the earlier 'set-mode' interface is marked obsolete now. This also enables us to implement callbacks for new states of clockevent devices, for example: ONESHOT_STOPPED. We aren't writing zero twice on the control register for shutdown or resume state now. 2013-12-20ARM: netx: stop using mach/timex.hUwe Kleine-König
mach/timex.h is the last remaining header that is unused for multiarch builds but necessary for singlearch builds. To allow to get rid of it for singlearch builds, too, drop its usage in netx arch code by substituting CLOCK_TICK_RATE and LATCH by a local cpp symbol. The clockevent core is able to figure out the best mult and shift, calculate min_delta_ns and max_delta_ns, with the necessary info passed into clockevents_config_and_register(). Use this combined configure and register function where possible to make the codes less error prone and gain some positive diff stat. 2012-12-24ARM: delete struct sys_timerStephen Warren
Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself. This will enable moving timer drivers into drivers/clocksource without having to place a public prototype of each struct sys_timer object into include/linux; the intent is to create a single of_clocksource_init() function that determines which timer driver to initialize by scanning the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at: http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg203686.html Includes mach-omap2 fixes from Igor Grinberg. This avoids a deadlock in update_process_times() ... hrtimer_get_softirq_time() which tries to get a read mode seqlock on xtime, thereby preventing booting.
