Replace sysdev classes and struct sys_device objects used for "core" power management by the PXA platform code with struct syscore_ops objects that are simpler. This patch moves the platform data definition from arch/arm/plat-pxa/include/plat/i2c.h to include/linux/i2c/pxa-i2c.h so it can be accessed from x86 the same way as on ARM. This is important because on PXA3xx, the physical mapping of SMEMC registers differs from the one on PXA2xx. In order to get PCMCIA working on both PXA2xx and PXA320, the PCMCIA driver was adjusted accordingly as well. Also, various places in the kernel had to be patched to use __raw_read/__raw_write. 2009-12-01[ARM] pxa: allow platforms to control which uarts are registeredRussell King
For some platforms, it is inappropriate to register all PXA UARTs. In some cases, the UARTs may not be used, and in others we may want to avoid registering the UARTs to allow other drivers (eg, FICP) to make use of the UART. In addition, a while back there was a request to be able to pass platform data to the UART driver. This patch enables all of this by providing functions platforms can call to register each individual UART. Direct access to USB host controller registers is considered to be not portable, and is usually a bad sign for poorly abstracted interface. 2008-04-19[ARM] pxa: add partial keypad support for mainstoneeric miao
This is partial because mainstone's keypad is really special, some of the keys like '1', '2', ... are actually connected to two row/column juntions, thus pressing '1' is equivalent to pressing 'A' & 'H'. This is really brain damanged since it makes distinguishing between pressing '1' and multiple keys pressing of 'A' & 'H' difficult. So these special keys are not supported for the time being. 1. the following code to configure PGSRx is no way portable and intuitive: - PGSR0 = 0x00008800; - PGSR1 = 0x00000002; - PGSR2 = 0x0001FC00; - PGSR3 = 0x00001F81; this is removed as low power state has already been encoded in the pin configuration definitions. 2008-01-28[NET] smc91x: Make smc91x use IRQ resource trigger flagsRussell King
smc91x is shared between many different platforms. Each platform needs to specify the interrupt type, and in some cases the irq type depends on more than just the build configuration - it depends on runtime checks. Rather than throwing this code into the SMC_IRQ_FLAGS definition, provide a way for these flags to be passed via the IRQ resource itself. Note that IRQF_TRIGGER_* constants are intentionally defined to correspond with the IORESOURCE_IRQ_* interrupt type flags, in much the same way that the low bits of PCI iomem resources correspond with the BAR flag bits. Also provide a way to configure smc91x to read the IRQ flags from the resource. Once all platforms have been converted over (signified by all definitions of SMC_IRQ_FLAGS being -1) SMC_IRQ_FLAGS should be removed.
