As PHYS_OFFSET will be becoming a variable, we can't have it used in initializers nor assembly code. Replace those in generic code with a run-time initialization. 2010-07-09ARM: 6204/1: Fixups for the RealView PB1176Linus Walleij
This is a number of basic fixes to the PB1176 that makes it tick properly: - Detect MMC insertion/removal even when PL061 GPIO is not compiled in. The register to read this status directly is removed on the PB1176. - Define the UART3 on the DevChip (where is actually is) and define the new UART4 serial port on the FPGA. - Also define the clocks for these two UARTs apropriately. - Remove the false notion that the PB1176 should have its CLCD on the ISSP, this is not the case, it is in the DevChip. - Remove the defintions and the previously commented-out PL081 DMAC. As confirmed by mail this was found to be broken on the PB1176 board and removed from the subsequent FPGA images. This removes the totally bogus bus ID:s with two-digit hex numerals either referring to the base address of corresponding versatile machine or just some arbitrarily chosen digit in favor of just using the device identifier as a string. I kept the "dev:" prefix for DevChips, "fpga:" prefix for FPGA:s and "issp:" prefix for the other processor bus, just in case someone likes them. 2008-12-01RealView: Allow PHYS_OFFSET at 0x70000000Catalin Marinas
RealView boards like PB11MPCore have 512MB of RAM available contiguously at 0x70000000. Half of the memory is mirrored at 0x00000000 for backwards compatibility. This patch adds the CONFIG_REALVIEW_HIGH_PHYS_OFFSET option option to change the physical base address so that the full amount of RAM is available to Linux.
