We use kzalloc to allocate the write_buf that we use for
i2c transfer on hdcp write. But it seems that we are forgetting
to free the memory that is not needed after i2c transfer is
completed.

This patchs adds the cec_notifier feature to the intel_hdmi part
of the i915 DRM driver. It uses the HDMI DRM connector name to differentiate
between each HDMI ports.
The changes will allow the i915 HDMI code to notify EDID and HPD changes
to an eventual CEC adapter.

When encountering a connector with the scaling mode property both
intel and modesetting ddxs sometimes add tons of DBLSCAN modes
to the output's mode list. The idea presumably being that since the
output will be going through the panel fitter anyway we can pretend
to use any kind of mode.
Sadly that means we can't reject user modes with the DBLSCAN flag
until we know whether we're going to be using the panel's native
mode or the user mode directly. Doing otherwise means X clients using
xf86vidmode/xrandr will get a protocol error (and often self
terminate as a result) when the kernel refuses to use the requested
mode with the DBLSCAN flag.
To undo the regression we'll move the DBLSCAN checks into the
connector->mode_valid() and encoder->compute_config() hooks.

The only requirement by BSpec for setting the HDMI infoframes is on DDI
platforms to do that before enabling the HDMI transcoder function, see
VIDEO_DIP_CTL bit 16. Accordingly check for the transcoder function
disabled state instead of the port's disabled state on DDI platforms.
This is needed by the next patch as it will set the infoframe during
crtc disabling where the port is still enabled.

Added encoding of drm content_type property from drm_connector_state
within AVI infoframe in order to properly handle external HDMI TV
content-type setting.
This requires also manipulationg ITC bit, as stated in
HDMI spec.
v2:
* Moved helper function which attaches content type property
to the drm core, as was suggested.
Removed redundant connector state initialization.
v3:
* Removed caps in drm_content_type_enum_list.
After some discussion it turned out that HDMI Spec 1.4
was wrongly assuming that IT Content(itc) bit doesn't affect
Content type states, however itc bit needs to be manupulated
as well. In order to not expose additional property for itc,
for sake of simplicity it was decided to bind those together
in same "content type" property.
v4:
* Added it_content checking in intel_digital_connector_atomic_check.
Fixed documentation for new content type enum.
v5:
* Moved patch revision's description to commit messages.
v6:
* Minor naming fix for the content type enumeration string.
v7:
* Fix parameter name for documentation and parameter alignment
in order not to get warning. Added Content Type description to
new HDMI connector properties section.
v8:
* Thrown away unneeded numbers from HDMI content-type property
description. Switch to strings desription instead of plain
definitions.
v9:
* Moved away hdmi specific content-type enum from
drm_connector_state. Content type property should probably not
be bound to any specific connector interface in
drm_connector_state.
Same probably should be done to hdmi_picture_aspect_ration enum
which is also contained in drm_connector_state. Added special
helper function to get derive hdmi specific relevant infoframe
fields.
v10:
* Added usage description to HDMI properties kernel doc.
v11:
* Created centralized function for filling HDMI AVI infoframe, based
on correspondent DRM property value.

When we're disabling the HDMI link we try to reset the scrambling and
TMDS bit clock ratio back to the default values. This will fail if the
sink has already been disconnected. Thus we should not print an error
message when resetting the scrambling/TMDS bit clock ratio fail during
disable. During enable we do want the error, and during disable we may
still want to know what happended for debug purposes so let's use
DRM_DEBUG_KMS() there.

The LG 4k TV I have doesn't deassert HPD when I turn the TV off, but
when I turn it back on it will pulse the HPD line. By that time it has
forgotten everything we told it about scrambling and the clock ratio.
Hence if we want to get a picture out if it again we have to tell it
whether we're currently sending scrambled data or not. Implement
that via the encoder->hotplug() hook.

We never support certain mode flags etc. Reject those early on in the
mode_config.mode_valid() hook. That allows us to remove some duplicated
checks from the connector .mode_valid() hooks, and it guarantees that
we never see those flags even from user mode as the
mode_config.mode_valid() hooks gets executed for those as well.

4K modes testing by using dummy EDID data has never been working
properly on boxes with DP++ (dual-mode) adaptors. The reason for
this is that those modes got pruned during hdmi mode validation.
intel_hdmi_mode_valid returns CLOCK_HIGH because the pixel clock
reported by the 4k mode is higher than dual port TMDS clock limit.
However 4k injection does work properly on machines that don't have
DP++ adapters because the mode is never validated against the DP++
TMDS clock limit.
v2: Don't detect the DP++ limits when we're testing using overridden
EDIDs. Make sure to check for the override condition after
respecting the value of drm_dp_dual_mode_detect (Jani Nikula).

The ACK/NACK implementation as found in e.g. the G965 has the falling
clock edge and the release of the data line after the ACK for the received
byte happen at the same time.
This is conformant with the I2C specification, which allows a zero hold
time, see footnote [3]: "A device must internally provide a hold time of
at least 300 ns for the SDA signal (with respect to the V IH(min) of the
SCL signal) to bridge the undefined region of the falling edge of SCL."
Some HDMI-to-VGA converters apparently fail to adhere to this requirement
and latch SDA at the falling clock edge, so instead of an ACK
sometimes a NACK is read and the slave (i.e. the EDID ROM) ends the
transfer.
The bitbanging releases the data line for the ACK only 1/4 bit time after
the falling clock edge, so a slave will see the correct value no matter
if it samples at the rising or the falling clock edge or in the center.
Fallback to bitbanging is already done for the CRT connector.

Appedix F of HDMI 2.0 says that some HDMI sink may fail to switch from
3D to 2D mode in a timely fashion if the source simply stops sending the
HDMI infoframe. The suggested workaround is to keep sending the
infoframe even when strictly not necessary (ie. no VIC and no S3D).
HDMI 1.4 does allow for this behaviour, stating that sending the
infoframe is optional in this case.
The infoframe was first specified in HDMI 1.4, so in theory sinks
predating that may not appreciate us sending an uknown infoframe
their way. To avoid regressions let's try to determine if the sink
supports the infoframe or not. Unfortunately there's no direct way
to do that, so instead we'll just check if we managed to parse any
HDMI 1.4 4k or stereo modes from the EDID, and if so we assume the
sink will accept the infoframe. Also if the EDID contains the HDMI
2.0 HDMI Forum VSDB we can assume the sink is prepared to receive
the infoframe.

Apparently some sinks look at the YQ bits even when receiving RGB,
and they get somehow confused when they see a non-zero YQ value.
So we can't just blindly follow CEA-861-F and set YQ to match the
RGB range.
Unfortunately there is no good way to tell whether the sink
designer claims to have read CEA-861-F. The CEA extension block
revision number has generally been stuck at 3 since forever,
and even a very recently manufactured sink might be based on
an old design so the manufacturing date doesn't seem like
something we can use. In lieu of better information let's
follow CEA-861-F only for HDMI 2.0 sinks, since HDMI 2.0 is
based on CEA-861-F. For HDMI 1.x sinks we'll always set YQ=0.
The alternative would of course be to always set YQ=0. And if
we ever encounter a HDMI 2.0+ sink with this bug that's what
we'll probably have to do.

Currently the DDI encoder->type will change at runtime depending on
what kind of hotplugs we've processed. That's quite bad since we can't
really trust that that current value of encoder->type actually matches
the type of signal we're trying to drive through it.
Let's eliminate that problem by declaring that non-eDP DDI port will
always have the encoder type as INTEL_OUTPUT_DDI. This means the code
can no longer try to distinguish DP vs. HDMI based on encoder->type.
We'll leave eDP as INTEL_OUTPUT_EDP, since it'll never change and
there's a bunch of code that relies on that value to identify eDP
encoders.
We'll introduce a new encoder .compute_output_type() hook. This allows
us to compute the full output_types before any encoder .compute_config()
hooks get called, thus those hooks can rely on output_types being
correct, which is useful for cloning on oldr platforms. For now we'll
just look at the connector type and pick the correct mode based on that.
In the future the new hook could be used to implement dynamic switching
between LS and PCON modes for LSPCON.

Starting from version 204 VBT can specify the max TMDS clock we are
allowed to use with HDMI ports. Parse that information and take it
into account when filtering modes and computing a crtc state.
Also take the opportunity to sort the platform check if ladder
from new to old.

Move the crtc state related 12bpc checks into hdmi_12bpc_possible()
since that one already examines other parts of the crtc state.
Note that we can drop the !force_dvi check since
crtc_state->has_hdmi_sink already accounts for that.

Now that the infoframe hooks are part of the intel_dig_port, we can use
the normal .write_infoframe() hook to update the VSC SDP. We do need to
deal with the size difference between the VSC DIP and the others though.
Another minor snag is that the compiler will complain to use if we keep
using enum hdmi_infoframe_type type and passing in the DP define instead,
so et's just change to unsigned int all over for the inforframe type.

The enable/disable/etc. encoder hooks aren't supposed to alter the
state(s), so pass them as const. Unfortunately C lacks any kind of deep
const thingy, so this can't catch all abuses. But at least it acts as a
hint to the reader telling them not to mess about with the state(s).

DP ports may want to use the video DIP for SDP transmission, so let's
initialize the vfuncs for DP encoders as well. The only exception is
port A eDP prior to HSW as that one doesn't have a video DIP instance.

let's pass that instead of has_hdmi_sink to .set_infoframes().
