2009-09-19V4L/DVB (13000): add driver for 774 Friio White USB ISDB-T receiverAkihiro Tsukada
This patch adds driver for 774 Friio White, ISDB-T USB receiver Friio White is an USB 2.0 ISDB-T receiver. (http://www.friio.com/) The device has a GL861 chip and a Comtech JDVBT90502 canned tuner module. This driver ignores all the frontend_parameters except frequency, as ISDB-T shares the same parameter configuration across the country and thus the device can work like an intelligent one. As this device does not include a CAM nor hardware descrambling feature, the driver passes through scrambled TS streams. There is Friio Black, a variant for ISDB-S, which shares the same USB Vendor/Product ID with White, but it is not supported in this driver. There are several Kconfig items using CUSTOMIZE. Yet, most use the English writing CUSTOMISE. This generates lots of trouble, because people sometimes type the Kbuild item different. Let's standardise every occurrence using the same syntax. When the tuner modules were moved to common/tuners, a separate customize option were added for tuners. However, the automatic selection of the tuners were still using the older option. This causes that the automatic selection to fail, if DVB_FE_CUSTOMISE is selected. Also, since those tuners are now under MEDIA_TUNER_CUSTOMIZE menu, if you unset MEDIA_TUNER_CUSTOMIZE, you can't manually select the tuners. This patch fixes this error by replacing DVB_FE_CUSTOMISE by MEDIA_TUNER_CUSTOMIZE on all places were a tuner is selected. The patch were generated by this small script: for i in `find drivers/media -name Kconfig`; do cat $i|perl -ne 's/(MEDIA_TUNER.*)DVB_FE_CUSTOMISE/\1MEDIA_TUNER_CUSTOMIZE/; print $_' >a mv a $i done Also, manually reordered the tuner entries. 2008-10-12V4L/DVB (8654): cxusb: add support for DViCO FusionHDTV DVB-T Dual Digital 4 ↵Anton Blanchard
(rev 2) Add support for revision 2 of the DViCO FusionHDTV DVB-T Dual Digital 4 which has new tuners and demodulators (2 x DIB7070p). With this patch both DVB reception and IR works. The dib7000p driver currently hardwires the output mode to OUTMODE_MPEG2_SERIAL regardless of what we ask for. Modify it to allow OUTMODE_MPEG2_PAR_GATED_CLK to be set. Longer term we should remove the check completely and set the output mode correctly in all the callers. Add Kconfig bits to ensure the dib7000p and dib0070 modules are enabled. It would be nice to only do this for the !DVB_FE_CUSTOMISE case, but this is what the other DIB7070 module does (there are a number of module dependencies in the attach code). Since: 1) FW_LOADER is defined as: config FW_LOADER tristate "Userspace firmware loading support" depends on HOTPLUG 2) several V4L/DVB driver just selects it; 3) select is not smart enough to auto-select HOTPLUG, if select FW_LOADER. So, All drivers that select FW_LOADER should also depend on HOTPLUG. An easier solution (for the end-user perspective) would be to "select HOTPLUG". However, live is not simple. This changeset adds support for DiB7070P-based devices by adding the dib0070-driver and putting the appropriate layouts into dib0700_devices.c It also includes a new firmware for the dib0700 which is necessary to make the DiB7070-boards work and it also should fix the i2c-problems on some boards. This patch removes all static dependencies on the dvb-pll module. All exported dvb_pll_desc's have been UNexported, and the caller will reference the individual dvb_pll_desc by it's index in the pll_list array.
