2021-11-17net: hns3: allow configure ETS bandwidth of all TCsGuangbin Huang
[ Upstream commit 688db0c7a4a69ddc8b8143a1cac01eb20082a3aa ] Currently, driver only allow configuring ETS bandwidth of TCs according to the max TC number queried from firmware. However, the hardware actually supports 8 TCs and users may need to configure ETS bandwidth of all TCs, so remove the restriction. 2021-10-27net: hns3: add limit ets dwrr bandwidth cannot be 0Guangbin Huang
[ Upstream commit 731797fdffa3d083db536e2fdd07ceb050bb40b1 ] If ets dwrr bandwidth of tc is set to 0, the hardware will switch to SP mode. In this case, this tc may occupy all the tx bandwidth if it has huge traffic, so it violates the purpose of the user setting. To fix this problem, limit the ets dwrr bandwidth must greater than 0. 2021-09-03net: hns3: fix get wrong pfc_en when query PFC configurationGuangbin Huang
[ Upstream commit 8c1671e0d13d4a0ba4fb3a0da932bf3736d7ff73 ] Currently, when query PFC configuration by dcbtool, driver will return PFC enable status based on TC. As all priorities are mapped to TC0 by default, if TC0 is enabled, then all priorities mapped to TC0 will be shown as enabled status when query PFC setting, even though some priorities have never been set. for example: $ dcb pfc show dev eth0 pfc-cap 4 macsec-bypass off delay 0 prio-pfc 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off 7:off $ dcb pfc set dev eth0 prio-pfc 0:on 1:on 2:on 3:on $ dcb pfc show dev eth0 pfc-cap 4 macsec-bypass off delay 0 prio-pfc 0:on 1:on 2:on 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:on 7:on To fix this problem, just returns user's PFC config parameter saved in driver. 2019-11-14net: hns3: fix ETS bandwidth validation bugYonglong Liu
Some device only support 4 TCs, but the driver check the total bandwidth of 8 TCs, so may cause wrong configurations write to the hw. This patch uses hdev->tc_max to instead HNAE3_MAX_TC to fix it. 2019-11-14net: hns3: reallocate SSU' buffer size when pfc_en changesYunsheng Lin
When a TC's PFC is disabled or enabled, the RX private buffer for this TC need to be changed too, otherwise this may cause packet dropped problem. This patch fixes it by calling hclge_buffer_alloc to reallocate buffer when pfc_en changes. 2019-01-30net: hns3: only support tc 0 for VFYunsheng Lin
When the VF shares the same TC config as PF, the business running on PF and VF must have samiliar module. For simplicity, we are not considering VF sharing the same tc configuration as PF use case, so this patch removes the support of TC configuration from VF and forcing VF to just use single TC. 2019-01-26net: hns3: call hns3_nic_set_real_num_queue with netdev downYunsheng Lin
hns3_client_setup_tc in enet is for updating TC configuration to stack, and hclge_setup_tc in hclge_dcb is mainly for setting the configuration to hardware. This patch removes the hns3_nic_set_real_num_queue from hns3_setup_tc in enet, and call hclge_client_setup_tc to update TC configuration to stack with netdev down, because the netdev down operation is done in hclge_dcb now. After doing down/uninit/init/up in hclge_dcb, it is not necessary to call dcb_ops->map_update in enet, so hclge_map_update can be called directly in hclge_dcb. This is for preparing to call hns3_nic_set_real_num_queue with netdev down when user changes mqprio configuration. When user changes the mqprio configuration, enet need to be uninited and inited besides down'ed and up'ed, because the queue num may change when the TC num changes. Also, it is more suitable to do the down/unint/init/up operation in hclge module using hclge_notify_client, because this config change may affect PF and its VF. 2018-11-19net: hns3: add common validation in hclge_dcbYunsheng Lin
Before setting tm related configuration to hardware, driver needs to check the configuration provided by user is valid. Currently hclge_ieee_setets and hclge_setup_tc both implement their own checking, which has a lot in common. This patch addes hclge_dcb_common_validate to do the common checking. The checking in hclge_tm_prio_tc_info_update and hclge_tm_schd_info_update is unnecessary now, so change the return type to void, which removes the need to do error handling when one of the checking fails. Also, ets->prio_tc is indexed by user prio and ets->tc_tsa is indexed by tc num, so this patch changes them to use different index. There is a defect in hclge_ets_validate(). If each member of tc_tsa is not IEEE_8021QAZ_TSA_ETS, the variable total_ets_bw won't be updated. In this case, the check for value of total_ets_bw will fail. This patch fixes it by checking total_ets_bw only after it has been updated. The hclge_dcb module calls the interface from hclge_main/tm and provide interface for the dcb netlink interface. This patch also update Makefiles required to build the DCB supported code in HNS3 Ethernet driver and update the existing Kconfig file in the hisilicon folder.
