2017-12-09be2net: fix initial MAC settingIvan Vecera
[ Upstream commit 4993b39ab04b083ff6ee1147e7e7f120feb6bf7f ] Recent commit 34393529163a ("be2net: fix MAC addr setting on privileged BE3 VFs") allows privileged BE3 VFs to set its MAC address during initialization. Although the initial MAC for such VFs is already programmed by parent PF the subsequent setting performed by VF is OK, but in certain cases (after fresh boot) this command in VF can fail. The MAC should be initialized only when: 1) no MAC is programmed (always except BE3 VFs during first init) 2) programmed MAC is different from requested (e.g. MAC is set when interface is down). In this case the initial MAC programmed by PF needs to be deleted. The adapter->dev_mac contains MAC address currently programmed in HW so it should be zeroed when the MAC is deleted from HW and should not be filled when MAC is set when interface is down in be_mac_addr_set() as no programming is performed in this case. 2017-12-09be2net: fix unicast list fillingIvan Vecera
[ Upstream commit 6052cd1af86f9833b6b0b60d5d4787c4a06d65ea ] The adapter->pmac_id[0] item is used for primary MAC address but this is not true for adapter->uc_list[0] as is assumed in be_set_uc_list(). There are N UC addresses copied first from net_device to adapter->uc_list[1..N] and then N UC addresses from adapter->uc_list[0..N-1] are sent to HW. So the last UC address is never stored into HW and address 00:00:00:00;00:00 (from uc_list[0]) is used instead. 2017-12-09net: systemport: Pad packet before inserting TSBFlorian Fainelli
[ Upstream commit 38e5a85562a6cd911fc26d951d576551a688574c ] Inserting the TSB means adding an extra 8 bytes in front the of packet that is going to be used as metadata information by the TDMA engine, but stripped off, so it does not really help with the packet padding. For some odd packet sizes that fall below the 60 bytes payload (e.g: ARP) we can end-up padding them after the TSB insertion, thus making them 64 bytes, but with the TDMA stripping off the first 8 bytes, they could still be smaller than 64 bytes which is required to ingress the switch. Fix this by swapping the padding and TSB insertion, guaranteeing that the packets have the right sizes. 2017-12-09net/mlx4_en: Fix type mismatch for 32-bit systemsSlava Shwartsman
[ Upstream commit 61b6034c6cfdcb265bb453505c3d688e7567727a ] is_power_of_2 expects unsigned long and we pass u64 max_val_cycles, this will be truncated on 32 bit systems, and the result is not what we were expecting. div_u64 expects u32 as a second argument and we pass max_val_cycles_rounded which is u64 hence it will always be truncated. Fix was tested on both 64 and 32 bit systems and got same results for max_val_cycles and max_val_cycles_rounded. 2017-11-30bnxt_en: Set default completion ring for async events.Michael Chan

The firmware does not know which completion ring should be receiving async events. 2017-11-30e1000e: Avoid receiver overrun interrupt burstsBenjamin Poirier
commit 4aea7a5c5e940c1723add439f4088844cd26196d upstream. When e1000e_poll() is not fast enough to keep up with incoming traffic, the adapter (when operating in msix mode) raises the Other interrupt to signal Receiver Overrun. This is a double problem because 1) at the moment e1000_msix_other() assumes that it is only called in case of Link Status Change and 2) if the condition persists, the interrupt is repeatedly raised again in quick succession. Ideally we would configure the Other interrupt to not be raised in case of receiver overrun but this doesn't seem possible on this adapter. Instead, we handle the first part of the problem by reverting to the practice of reading ICR in the other interrupt handler, like before commit 16ecba59bc33 ("e1000e: Do not read ICR in Other interrupt"). Thanks to commit 0a8047ac68e5 ("e1000e: Fix msi-x interrupt automask") which cleared IAME from CTRL_EXT, reading ICR doesn't interfere with RxQ0, TxQ0 interrupts anymore. We handle the second part of the problem by not re-enabling the Other interrupt right away when there is overrun. Instead, we wait until traffic subsides, napi polling mode is exited and interrupts are re-enabled. Avoid the problem by using the return value of .check_for_link to signal the link status to e1000e_has_link(). 2017-11-30ixgbe: Fix skb list corruption on Power systemsBrian King

The following is what was observed: CPU 1 CPU2 ============================ ============================ 1: ixgbe_xmit_frame_ring ixgbe_clean_tx_irq 2: first->skb = skb eop_desc = tx_buffer->next_to_watch 3: ixgbe_tx_map read_barrier_depends() 4: wmb check adapter written status bit 5: first->next_to_watch = tx_desc napi_consume_skb(tx_buffer->skb ..); 6: writel(i, tx_ring->tail); The read_barrier_depends is insufficient to ensure that tx_buffer->skb does not get loaded prior to tx_buffer->next_to_watch, which then results in loading a stale skb pointer. This patch replaces the read_barrier_depends with smp_rmb to ensure loads are ordered with respect to the load of tx_buffer->next_to_watch. To handle this situation we extend the rtnl_lock() to protect the call to netif_device_detach() and ixgbe_clear_interrupt_scheme() in __ixgbe_shutdown() and check for netif_device_present() to avoid clearing the interrupts second time in ixgbe_close(); Also extend the rtnl lock in ixgbe_resume() to netif_device_attach(). [ Upstream commit 2f3fc1e6200309ccf87f61dea56e57e563c4f800 ] Multiple IES API resets can cause a race condition where the mailbox interrupt request bits can be cleared before being handled. This can leave certain mailbox messages from the PF to be untreated and the PF will enter in some inactive state. If this situation occurs, the IES API will initiate a mailbox version reset which, then, trigger a mailbox state change. Once this mailbox transition occurs (from OPEN to CONNECT state), a request for reset will be returned. This ensures that PF will undergo a reset whenever IES API encounters an unknown global mailbox interrupt event or whenever the IES API terminates. 2017-10-21net: mvpp2: release reference to txq_cpu[] entry after unmappingThomas Petazzoni
[ Upstream commit 36fb7435b6ac4d288a2d4deea8934f9456ab46b6 ] The mvpp2_txq_bufs_free() function is called upon TX completion to DMA unmap TX buffers, and free the corresponding SKBs. It gets the references to the SKB to free and the DMA buffer to unmap from a per-CPU txq_pcpu data structure. However, the code currently increments the pointer to the next entry before doing the DMA unmap and freeing the SKB. It does not cause any visible problem because for a given SKB the TX completion is guaranteed to take place on the CPU where the TX was started. However, it is much more logical to increment the pointer to the next entry once the current entry has been completely unmapped/released. If a VF changes log_num_mgm_entry_size, this will affect all PFs which are probed subsequent to the change (by disabling DMFS for those PFs). It overflows in cyclecounter_cyc2ns(), and the final result is 804 ms, which is silly. Lets simply use 5 seconds, no need to recompute this, given how it is supposed to work. Later, we will use a timer instead of a work queue, since the new RX allocation schem will no longer need mlx4_en_recover_from_oom() and the service_task firing every 250 ms. 2017-10-12net: emac: Fix napi poll list corruptionChristian Lamparter
[ Upstream commit f55956065ec94e3e9371463d693a1029c4cc3007 ] This patch is pretty much a carbon copy of commit 3079c652141f ("caif: Fix napi poll list corruption") with "caif" replaced by "emac". The commit d75b1ade567f ("net: less interrupt masking in NAPI") breaks emac. It is now required that if the entire budget is consumed when poll returns, the napi poll_list must remain empty. However, like some other drivers emac tries to do a last-ditch check and if there is more work it will call napi_reschedule and then immediately process some of this new work. Should the entire budget be consumed while processing such new work then we will violate the new caller contract. This patch fixes this by not touching any work when we reschedule in emac. 2017-10-12mlxsw: spectrum: Prevent mirred-related crash on removalYuval Mintz
[ Upstream commit 6399ebcccffa12e65bc15eda039d37673264ebce ] When removing the offloading of mirred actions under matchall classifiers, mlxsw would find the destination port associated with the offloaded action and utilize it for undoing the configuration. Depending on the order by which ports are removed, it's possible that the destination port would get removed before the source port. In such a scenario, when actions would be flushed for the source port mlxsw would perform an illegal dereference as the destination port is no longer listed. Since the only item necessary for undoing the configuration on the destination side is the port-id and that in turn is already maintained by mlxsw on the source-port, simply stop trying to access the destination port and use the port-id directly instead.
