Pull driver core update from Greg KH:
"Here's the set of driver core patches for 3.19-rc1.
They are dominated by the removal of the .owner field in platform
drivers. They touch a lot of files, but they are "simple" changes,
just removing a line in a structure.
Other than that, a few minor driver core and debugfs changes. There
are some ath9k patches coming in through this tree that have been
acked by the wireless maintainers as they relied on the debugfs
changes.

Pull device tree updates from Grant Likely:
"The branch contains the following device tree changes the v3.17 merge
window:
Group changes to the device tree. In preparation for adding device
tree overlay support, OF_DYNAMIC is reworked so that a set of device
tree changes can be prepared and applied to the tree all at once.
OF_RECONFIG notifiers see the most significant change here so that
users always get a consistent view of the tree. Notifiers generation
is moved from before a change to after it, and notifiers for a group
of changes are emitted after the entire block of changes have been
applied
Automatic console selection from DT. Console drivers can now use
of_console_check() to see if the device node is specified as a console
device. If so then it gets added as a preferred console. UART
devices get this support automatically when uart_add_one_port() is
called.
DT unit tests no longer depend on pre-loaded data in the device tree.
Data is loaded dynamically at the start of unit tests, and then
unloaded again when the tests have completed.
Also contains a few bugfixes for reserved regions and early memory
setup"

'serial_core: Fix conditional start_tx on ring buffer not empty'
exposes an incorrect assumption in several drivers' start_tx methods;
the tx ring buffer can, in fact, be empty when restarting tx while
performing flow control.

There are a bunch of users open coding the for_each_node_by_name() by
calling of_find_node_by_name() directly instead of using the macro. This
is getting in the way of some cleanups, and the possibility of removing
of_find_node_by_name() entirely. Clean it up so that all the users are
consistent.

If IGNBRK is set without either BRKINT or PARMRK set, some uart
drivers send a 0x00 byte for BREAK without the TTYBREAK flag to the
line discipline, when it should send either nothing or the TTYBREAK flag
set. This happens because the read_status_mask masks out the BI
condition, which uart_insert_char() then interprets as a normal 0x00 byte.
SUS v3 is clear regarding the meaning of IGNBRK; Section 11.2.2, General
Terminal Interface - Input Modes, states:
"If IGNBRK is set, a break condition detected on input shall be ignored;
that is, not put on the input queue and therefore not read by any
process."
Fix read_status_mask to include the BI bit if IGNBRK is set; the
lsr status retains the BI bit if a BREAK is recv'd, which is
subsequently ignored in uart_insert_char() when masked with the
ignore_status_mask.

When booting a multi-platform m68k kernel on a non-Mac with "console=ttyS0"
on the kernel command line, it crashes with:

The normal tty driver doesn't crash, because init_pmz() checks
pmz_ports_count again after calling pmz_probe().
In the serial console initialization path, pmz_console_init() doesn't do
this, causing the driver to crash later.
Add a check for pmz_ports_count to fix this.

The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release
or on probe failure, since commit 0998d0631001288a5974afc0b2a5f568bcdecb4d
(device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound).
Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL.

Now, we start converting tty buffer functions to actually use
tty_port. This will allow us to get rid of the need of tty in many
call sites. Only tty_port will needed and hence no more
tty_port_tty_get in those paths.
Now, the one where most of tty_port_tty_get gets removed:
tty_flip_buffer_push.
IOW we also closed all the races in drivers not using tty_port_tty_get
at all yet.
Also we move tty_flip_buffer_push declaration from include/linux/tty.h
to include/linux/tty_flip.h to all others while we are changing it
anyway.

kdb <-> kgdb transitioning does not work properly with this UART
driver because the get character routine loops indefinitely as opposed
to returning NO_POLL_CHAR per the expectation of the KDB I/O driver
API.
The symptom is a kernel hang when trying to switch debug modes.

We transform the offenders into a test of irq <= 0 which will be ok while
the ARM people get their platform sorted. Once that is done (or in a while
if they don't do it anyway) then we will change them all to !irq checks.
For arch specific drivers that are already using NO_IRQ = 0 we just test
against zero so we don't need to re-review them later.

This patch reworks & simplifies pmac_zilog handling of suspend/resume,
essentially removing all the specific code in there and using the
generic uart helpers.
This required properly registering the tty as a child of the macio (or platform)
device, so I had to delay the registration a bit (we used to register the ports
very very early). We still register the kernel console early though.
I removed a couple of unused or useless flags as well, relying on the
core to not call us when asleep. I also removed the essentially useless
interrupt mutex, simplifying the locking a bit.
I removed some code for handling unexpected interrupt which should never
be hit and could potentially be harmful (causing us to access a register
on a powered off SCC). We diable port interrupts on close always so there
should be no need to drain data on a closed port.

On most 68k Macs the SCC IRQ is an autovector interrupt and cannot be
masked. This can be a problem when pmac_zilog starts up.
For example, the serial debugging code in arch/m68k/kernel/head.S may be
used beforehand. It disables the SCC interrupts at the chip but doesn't
ack them. Then when a pmac_zilog port is used, the machine locks up with
"unexpected interrupt".
This can happen in pmz_shutdown() since the irq is freed before the
channel interrupts are disabled.
Fix this by clearing interrupt enable bits before the handler is
uninstalled. Also move the interrupt control bit flipping into a separate
pmz_interrupt_control() routine. Replace all instances of these operations
with calls to this routine. Omit the zssync() calls that seem to serve no
purpose.

The serial drivers are really just tty drivers, so move them to
drivers/tty/ to make things a bit neater overall.
This is part of the tty/serial driver movement proceedure as proposed by
Arnd Bergmann and approved by everyone involved a number of months ago.
