2010-11-29USB: cns3xxx: Add EHCI and OHCI bus glue for cns3xxx SOCsMac Lin
The CNS3XXX SOC has include USB EHCI and OHCI compatible controllers. This patch adds the necessary glue logic to allow ehci-hcd and ohci-hcd drivers to work on CNS3XXX The EHCI and OHCI controllers share a common clock control and reset bit, therefore additional check for the timming of enabling and disabling is required. The USB bit of PLL Power Down Control is also shared by OTG, 24MHzUART clock, Crypto clock, PCIe reference clock, and Clock Scale Generator. Therefore we only ensure it is enabled, while not disabling it. 2010-11-11USB: Fix FSL USB driver on non Open Firmware systemsMarc Kleine-Budde
Commit 126512e3f274802ca65ebeca8660237f0361ad48 added support for FSL's USB controller on powerpc. In this commit the Open Firmware code was selected and compiled unconditionally. This breaks on ARM systems from FSL which use the same driver (.i.e. the i.MX series), because ARM don't have OF support (yet). This patch fixes the problem by only selecting the OF code on systems with Open Firmware support. 2010-10-29USB: Add EHCI and OHCH glue for OCTEON II SOCs.David Daney
The OCTEON II SOC has USB EHCI and OHCI controllers connected directly to the internal I/O bus. This patch adds the necessary 'glue' logic to allow ehci-hcd and ohci-hcd drivers to work on OCTEON II. The OCTEON normally runs big-endian, and the ehci/ohci internal registers have host endianness, so we need to select USB_EHCI_BIG_ENDIAN_MMIO. The ehci and ohci blocks share a common clocking and PHY infrastructure. Initialization of the host controller and PHY clocks is common between the two and is factored out into the octeon2-common.c file. Setting of USB_ARCH_HAS_OHCI and USB_ARCH_HAS_EHCI is done in arch/mips/Kconfig in a following patch. 2010-10-22USB: add USB EHCI support for MPC5121 SoCAnatolij Gustschin
Extends FSL EHCI platform driver glue layer to support MPC5121 USB controllers. MPC5121 Rev 2.0 silicon EHCI registers are in big endian format. The appropriate flags are set using the information in the platform data structure. MPC83xx system interface registers are not available on MPC512x, so the access to these registers is isolated in MPC512x case. Furthermore the USB controller clocks must be enabled before 512x register accesses which is done by providing platform specific init callback. The MPC512x internal USB PHY doesn't provide supply voltage. For boards using different power switches allow specifying DRVVBUS and PWR_FAULT signal polarity of the MPC5121 internal PHY using "fsl,invert-drvvbus" and "fsl,invert-pwr-fault" properties in the device tree USB nodes. Adds documentation for this new device tree bindings. Signed-off-by: Anatolij Gustschin <agust@denx.de> Cc: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2010-10-22USB: add platform glue driver for FSL USB DR controllerAnatolij Gustschin
Replace FSL USB platform code by simple platform driver for creation of FSL USB platform devices. The driver creates platform devices based on the information from USB nodes in the flat device tree. This is the replacement for old arch fsl_soc usb code removed by this patch. The driver uses usual of-style binding, available EHCI-HCD and UDC drivers can be bound to the created devices. The new of-style driver additionaly instantiates USB OTG platform device, as the appropriate USB OTG driver will be added soon. 2010-08-10USB: EHCI: make CONFIG_USB_EHCI_TT_NEWSCHED default to YAlan Stern
This patch (as1382) changes the USB_EHCI_TT_NEWSCHED Kconfig option to be non-experimental and to default to Y. This option has existed for a long time, and I have not heard any complaints concerning it. By contrast, several people have reported that their devices could be made to work only by enabling the option. The point of changing the default is to cause the option to be enabled by distros that simply use the default settings for esoteric things like this. This change was motivated by Bugzilla #15649. 2010-05-20USB: ohci: Add Kconfig entries for ohci-omap3Anand Gadiyar
On OMAP systems, we have two different OHCI controllers. The legacy one is present in OMAP1/2 chips, and the newer one comes bundled as a companion to the EHCI controller on OMAP3 and newer chips. We may have multi-omap configurations where OMAP2 and OMAP3 support may be enabled in the same kernel, and need a mechanism to keep both drivers around. This patch adds a Kconfig entry for each of these drivers. 2009-12-11USB: Add EHCI support for MX27 and MX31 based boardsDaniel Mack
The Freescale MX27 and MX31 SoCs have a EHCI controller onboard. The controller is capable of USB on the go. This patch adds a driver to support all three of them. Users have to pass details about serial interface configuration in the platform data. The USB OTG core used here is the ARC core, so the driver should be renamed and probably be merged with ehci-fsl.c eventually. 2009-07-20usb: r8a66597-hcd platform data on_chip supportMagnus Damm
Convert the r8a66597-hcd driver to use the on_chip flag from platform data to enable on chip behaviour instead of relying on CONFIG_SUPERH_ON_CHIP_R8A66597 ugliness. This makes the code cleaner and also allows us to support both external and internal r8a66597 with the same kernel. It also makes the Kconfig part more future proof since we with this patch can add support for new processors with on-chip r8a66597 without modifying the Kconfig. This driver has been written from scratch and supports the ISP1760. ISP1761 might (should) work as well but the OTG isn't supported. Also ISO packets are not. However, it works on my little PowerPC board. Signed-off-by: Sebastian Siewior <bigeasy@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

2008-02-01USB: ehci: minor ISO updates, always support split ISODavid Brownell
Small updates to the EHCI driver's ISO support: - Get rid of the Kconfig option for full speed ISO. It may not be perfect yet, but it hasn't appeared to be dangerous and pretty much every configuration wants it. - Instead of two places to disable an empty periodic schedule after an ISO transfer completes, just have one. - After the periodic schedule is disabled, we can short-circuit the schedule scan ... it can't possibly have more work to do. Assuming a typical config with split iso enabled, the only change in behavior should be almost unobservable: quicker termination of periodic scans when the schedule gets emptied.
