In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to
all timer callbacks, switch to using the new from_timer() helper and passing
the timer pointer explicitly. Since this special timer is on the stack, it
needs to have a wrapper structure to carry state once .data is eliminated.

The DRM_BUS_FLAG_PIXDATA_POSEDGE and DRM_BUS_FLAG_PIXDATA_NEGEDGE macros
and their DRM_BUS_FLAG_SYNC_* counterparts define on which pixel clock
edge data and sync signals are driven. They are however used in some
drivers to define on which pixel clock edge data and sync signals are
sampled, which should usually (but not always) be the opposite edge of
the driving edge. This creates confusion.
Create four new macros for both PIXDATA and SYNC that explicitly state
the driving and sampling edge in their name to remove the confusion. The
driving macros are defined as the opposite of the sampling macros to
made code simpler based on the assumption that the driving and sampling
edges are opposite.

The sync in some panels needs to be driven by different edge of the pixel
clock compared to data. This is reflected by the
DISPLAY_FLAGS_SYNC_(POS|NEG)EDGE in videmode flags.

On i965gm we need to adjust max_vblank_count dynamically
depending on whether the TV encoder is used or not. To
that end add a per-crtc max_vblank_count that takes
precedence over its device wide counterpart. The driver
can now call drm_crtc_set_max_vblank_count() to configure
the per-crtc value before calling drm_vblank_on().
Also looks like there was some discussion about exynos needing
similar treatment.

the usb3803 uses a regular USB connection and provides a

mode once the driver is instantiated.

This patch allows for easy integration of a custom Linux boot logo to
replace the Tux' being shown by default.
Use gimp or the like to create a raw PPM in your desired resolution.
Reduce the number of colours in the image to 224:
user@host:~$ ppmquant 224 Toradex-640x480.ppm > \
Toradex-640x480-224.ppm
ppmquant: making histogram...
ppmquant: 370 colors found
ppmquant: choosing 224 colors...
ppmquant: mapping image to new colors...
Convert it from raw PPM to ASCII format:
user@host:~$ pnmnoraw Toradex-640x480-224.ppm > \
Toradex-640x480-ascii-224.ppm
Copy it into the Linux sources:
cp Toradex-640x480-ascii-224.ppm linux-toradex/drivers/video/logo/\
logo_custom_clut224.ppm
Activate exclusively custom Linux logo in the kernel configuration:
Device Drivers -> Graphics support -> Bootup logo ->
Custom 224-color Linux logo
And re-compile the kernel.

[ Upstream commit 26ec17a1dc5ecdd8d91aba63ead6f8b5ad5dea0d ]
In case a radar event of CAC_FINISHED or RADAR_DETECTED
happens during another phy is during CAC we might need
to cancel that CAC.
If we got a radar in a channel that another phy is now
doing CAC on then the CAC should be canceled there.
If, for example, 2 phys doing CAC on the same channels,
or on comptable channels, once on of them will finish his
CAC the other might need to cancel his CAC, since it is no
longer relevant.
To fix that the commit adds an callback and implement it in
mac80211 to end CAC.
This commit also adds a call to said callback if after a radar
event we see the CAC is no longer relevant

commit 17a0184ca17e288decdca8b2841531e34d49285f upstream.
Commit e0d795e4f36c ("usb: irda: cleanup on ir-usb module") added a USB
IrDA header with common defines, but mistakingly switched to using the
class-descriptor baud-rate bitmask values for the outbound header.
This broke link-speed handling for rates above 9600 baud, but a device
would also be able to operate at the default 9600 baud until a
link-speed request was issued (e.g. using the TCGETS ioctl).

commit c42b65e363ce97a828f81b59033c3558f8fa7f70 upstream.
A lot of code become ugly because of open coding allocations for bitmaps.
Introduce three helpers to allow users be more clear of intention
and keep their code neat.
Note, due to multiple circular dependencies we may not provide
the helpers as inliners. For now we keep them exported and, perhaps,
at some point in the future we will sort out header inclusion and
inheritance.

[ Upstream commit e5db673e7fe2f971ec82039a28dc0811c2100e87 ]
v4.11-rc1 did introduce a patch series that rearranged the
sdio quirks into a header file. Unfortunately this did forget
to handle SDIO_VENDOR_ID_TI differently between wl1251 and
wl1271 with the result that although the wl1251 was found on
the sdio bus, the firmware did not load any more and there was
no interface registration.
This patch defines separate constants to be used by sdio quirks
and drivers.

thus cause memory corrupt such as slob block header so that kernel

for (i = 0; i < sdma->script_number; i++)

saddr_arr[i] = addr_arr[i]; /* memory corrupt here */
That issue was brought by commit a572460be9cf ("dmaengine: imx-sdma: Add

[ Upstream commit 33da8e7c814f77310250bb54a9db36a44c5de784 ]
My recent to change to only use force_sig for a synchronous events
wound up breaking signal reception cifs and drbd. I had overlooked
the fact that by default kthreads start out with all signals set to
SIG_IGN. So a change I thought was safe turned out to have made it
impossible for those kernel thread to catch their signals.
Reverting the work on force_sig is a bad idea because what the code
was doing was very much a misuse of force_sig. As the way force_sig
ultimately allowed the signal to happen was to change the signal
handler to SIG_DFL. Which after the first signal will allow userspace
to send signals to these kernel threads. At least for
wake_ack_receiver in drbd that does not appear actively wrong.
So correct this problem by adding allow_kernel_signal that will allow
signals whose siginfo reports they were sent by the kernel through,
but will not allow userspace generated signals, and update cifs and
drbd to call allow_kernel_signal in an appropriate place so that their
thread can receive this signal.
Fixing things this way ensures that userspace won't be able to send
signals and cause problems, that it is clear which signals the
threads are expecting to receive, and it guarantees that nothing
else in the system will be affected.
This change was partly inspired by similar cifs and drbd patches that
added allow_signal.

commit ad6bf88a6c19a39fb3b0045d78ea880325dfcf15 upstream.
Logical block size has type unsigned short. That means that it can be at
most 32768. However, there are architectures that can run with 64k pages
(for example arm64) and on these architectures, it may be possible to
create block devices with 64k block size.
For exmaple (run this on an architecture with 64k pages):
Mount will fail with this error because it tries to read the superblock using 2-sector
access:
device-mapper: writecache: I/O is not aligned, sector 2, size 1024, block size 65536
EXT4-fs (dm-0): unable to read superblock
This patch changes the logical block size from unsigned short to unsigned
int to avoid the overflow.

commit 4881873f4cc1460f63d85fa81363d56be328ccdc upstream.
According to the public S805 datasheet the RESET2 register uses the
following bits for the PIC_DC, PSC and NAND reset lines:
- PIC_DC is at bit 3 (meaning: RESET_VD_RMEM + 3)
- PSC is at bit 4 (meaning: RESET_VD_RMEM + 4)
- NAND is at bit 5 (meaning: RESET_VD_RMEM + 4)
Update the reset IDs of these three reset lines so they don't conflict

commit ad312f95d41c9de19313c51e388c4984451c010f upstream.
The select() implementation is carefully tuned to put a sensible amount
of data on the stack for holding a copy of the user space fd_set, but
not too large to risk overflowing the kernel stack.
When building a 32-bit kernel with clang, we need a little more space
than with gcc, which often triggers a warning:
fs/select.c:619:5: error: stack frame size of 1048 bytes in function 'core_sys_select' [-Werror,-Wframe-larger-than=]
int core_sys_select(int n, fd_set __user *inp, fd_set __user *outp,
I experimentally found that for 32-bit ARM, reducing the maximum stack
usage by 64 bytes keeps us reliably under the warning limit again.

CAN sk_buffs
commit e7153bf70c3496bac00e7e4f395bb8d8394ac0ea upstream.
KMSAN sysbot detected a read access to an untinitialized value in the
headroom of an outgoing CAN related sk_buff. When using CAN sockets this
area is filled appropriately - but when using a packet socket this
initialization is missing.
The problematic read access occurs in the CAN receive path which can
only be triggered when the sk_buff is sent through a (virtual) CAN
interface. So we check in the sending path whether we need to perform
the missing initializations.

[ Upstream commit 96cc4b69581db68efc9749ef32e9cf8e0160c509 ]
Use of eth_hdr() in tx path is error prone.
Many drivers call skb_reset_mac_header() before using it,
but others do not.
Commit 6d1ccff62780 ("net: reset mac header in dev_start_xmit()")
attempted to fix this generically, but commit d346a3fae3ff
("packet: introduce PACKET_QDISC_BYPASS socket option") brought
back the macvlan bug.
Lets add a new helper, so that tx paths no longer have
to call skb_reset_mac_header() only to get a pointer
to skb->data.
Hopefully we will be able to revert 6d1ccff62780
("net: reset mac header in dev_start_xmit()") and save few cycles
in transmit fast path.

[ Upstream commit 164166558aacea01b99c8c8ffb710d930405ba69 ]
With 'bytes(__u32)' being 32, a left-shift of 31 may happen which is
undefined for the signed 32-bit value 1. Avoid this by declaring 1 as
unsigned.
