2012-11-28irda: irttp: fix memory leak in irttp_open_tsap() error pathTommi Rantala
Cleanup the memory we allocated earlier in irttp_open_tsap() when we hit this error path. The leak goes back to at least 1da177e4 ("Linux-2.6.12-rc2"). Discovered with Trinity (the syscall fuzzer). 2012-11-15TTY: call tty_port_destroy in the rest of driversJiri Slaby
After commit "TTY: move tty buffers to tty_port", the tty buffers are not freed in some drivers. This is because tty_port_destructor is not called whenever a tty_port is freed. This was an assumption I counted with but was unfortunately untrue. So fix the drivers to fulfil this assumption. To be sure, the TTY buffers (and later some stuff) are gone along with the tty_port, we have to call tty_port_destroy at tear-down places. This is mostly where the structure containing a tty_port is freed. This patch does exactly that -- put tty_port_destroy at those places. It also moved the initialization of driver_data out of open(), but never added it to install() - causing a NULL ptr deref whenever the driver was used. 2012-10-04silence some noisy printks in irdaDave Jones

2012-09-10netlink: Rename pid to portid to avoid confusionEric W. Biederman
It is a frequent mistake to confuse the netlink port identifier with a process identifier. Try to reduce this confusion by renaming fields that hold port identifiers portid instead of pid. 2012-04-20net: Move all of the network sysctls without a namespace into init_net.Eric W. Biederman
This makes it clearer which sysctls are relative to your current network namespace. This makes it a little less error prone by not exposing sysctls for the initial network namespace in other namespaces. 2012-03-08TTY: remove unneeded tty->index checksJiri Slaby
Checking if tty->index is in bounds is not needed. The tty has the index set in the initial open. This is done in get_tty_driver. And it can be only in interval <0,driver->num). So remove the tests which check exactly this interval. Some are left untouched as they check against the current backing device count. (Leaving apart that the check is racy in most of the cases.) All num, magic and owner are set by alloc_tty_driver. No need to re-set them on each allocation site. pti driver sets something different to what it passes to alloc_tty_driver. It is not a bug, since we don't use the lines parameter in any way. Anyway this is fixed, and now we do the right thing. module_param(bool) used to counter-intuitively take an int. In fddd5201 (mid-2009) we allowed bool or int/unsigned int using a messy trick. It's time to remove the int/unsigned int option. Let's use the newly added helper to avoid stalls in drivers which are not yet ported to tty_port helpers. Those which are broken (call tty_wait_until_sent with irqs disabled) are left untouched. They are in a deeper trouble than we are trying to solve here. This includes amiserial, 68328serial, 68360serial and crisv10.
