2016-09-27dfu: Migrate to KconfigTom Rini
Introduce a hidden USB_FUNCTION_DFU Kconfig option and select it for CMD_DFU (as we must have the DFU command enabled to do anything DFU). Make all of the entries in drivers/dfu/Kconfig depend on CMD_DFU and add options for all of the back end choices that DFU can make use of. 2016-05-25sunxi: Enable a bunch of commands by default on sunxiHans de Goede
Recently a set of CONFIG_CMD_FOO defines was moved from being defined in config_distro_defaults to Kconfig, and added to all sunxi defconfigs to compensate. Instead of explictly selecting these in all sunxi defconfigs, simply always select these for sunxi boards. The description was borrowed from kernel. "tristate" type was changed to "bool" (I believe we don't support modules for u-boot yet, right?). CONFIG_USB_GADGET requires CONFIG_USB to be defined too, so add it along as well. Definitions were added to defconfig files in a way that "make savedefconfig" generates exactly the same file as used defconfig. 2016-03-14Kconfig: Move CONFIG_FIT and related options to KconfigSimon Glass
There are already two FIT options in Kconfig but the CONFIG options are still in the header files. We need to do a proper move to fix this. Move these options to Kconfig and tidy up board configuration: CONFIG_FIT CONFIG_OF_BOARD_SETUP CONFIG_OF_SYSTEM_SETUP CONFIG_FIT_SIGNATURE CONFIG_FIT_BEST_MATCH CONFIG_FIT_VERBOSE CONFIG_OF_STDOUT_VIA_ALIAS CONFIG_RSA Unfortunately the first one is a little complicated. We need to make sure this option is not enabled in SPL by this change. Also this option is enabled automatically in the host builds by defining CONFIG_FIT in the image.h file. To solve this, add a new IMAGE_USE_FIT #define which can be used in files that are built on the host but must also build for U-Boot and SPL. Note: Masahiro's moveconfig.py script is amazing. Some archs/boards specify their own default by pre-defining the config which causes the Kconfig system to mix up the order of the configs in the defconfigs... This will cause merge pain if allowed to proliferate. Remove the configs that behave this way from the archs. A few configs still remain, but that is because they only exist as defaults and do not have a proper Kconfig entry. In order to reduce merge conflicts and to maintain the simplest possible defconfig files, we should be using the savedefconfig feature of Kconfig every time a new feature is added. This keeps the defconfig settings to a minimum (only those things not default) and keeps them in the same order as the Kconfig options. This makes all sunxi boards allways use the driver model for gpios and ethernet, and allows us to move over more bits to the driver-model without the need to introduce #ifdef-ery for boards which are not yet using DM. 2015-03-26sunxi: set GMAC TX delay = 0x1 on Cubietruck.Ian Campbell
Of 4 boards in our automated test system 2 do not have reliable networking with the default TX delay of 0x0. Increasing to 0x1 seems to make things reliable on all 4 boards. Some previous ad-hpoc tests with tx delay set to 0, 1, 2 and 3 on one of the problematic boards showed: 0: mw.l 0x1c20164 0x006 1 -- t/o in 4/5 tftp runs 1: mw.l 0x1c20164 0x406 1 -- t/o in 1/5 tftp runs 2: mw.l 0x1c20164 0x806 1 -- t/o in 1/5 tftp runs 3: mw.l 0x1c20164 0xc06 1 -- t/o many times in first tftp run For 0, 1 and 2 "t/o" means one or two "T" glitches in the download, but it did complete. For 3 those were basically continuous and it couldn't complete. tftp was of a 16M initrd. CONFIG_TARGET_FOO was only used in board/sunxi/Makefile to select the dram config for sun5i and sun7i boards and in board/sunxi/gmac.c for some special handling of the bananapi/bananapro (both sun7i), all sun5i and sun7i boards have been moved over to using a single dram_sun5i_autoconfig file, and the tx clk delay handling for the Banana boards now has its own Kconfig. 2014-07-31ahci: provide sunxi SATA driver using AHCI platform frameworkIan Campbell
This enables the necessary clocks, in AHB0 and in PLL6_CFG. This is done for sun7i only since I don't have access to any other sunxi platforms with sata included. The PHY setup is derived from the Alwinner releases and Linux, but is mostly undocumented. The Allwinner AHCI controller also requires some magic (and, again, undocumented) DMA initialisation when starting a port. This is added under a suitable ifdef. This option is enabled for Cubieboard, Cubieboard2 and Cubietruck based on contents of Linux DTS files, including SATA power pin config taken from the DTS. All build tested, but runtime tested on Cubieboard2 and Cubietruck only. It works in Linux Kernel since ARCH is always given from the command line for cross compile. But in U-Boot, ARCH is not given from the command line. Which means we cannot know ARCH until the board configuration is done. That is why all the "*_defconfig" files should be gathered into a single directory ./configs/.
