As the help message of CONFIG_BOOTDELAY says, CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=-2 means the autoboot with no delay, with no abort check even if CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECK is defined. To sum up, the autoboot behaves as follows: [1] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=0 && CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECK=y autoboot with no delay, but you can abort it by key input [2] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=0 && CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECK=n autoboot with no delay, with no check for abort [3] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=-1 disable autoboot [4] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=-2 autoboot with no delay, with no check for abort As you notice, [2] and [4] come to the same result, which means we do not need CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECK. 2012-10-08ml507: Fix Xilinx uartlite driver hangRommel Custodio
The default configuration for ml507 will generate a hang() in the Xilinx uartlite driver. userial_ports[] in drivers/serial/serial_xuartlite.c does not get initialized properly. 2010-10-26Replace CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE by auto-generated valueWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE has always been just a bad workarond for not being able to use "sizeof(struct global_data)" in assembler files. Recent experience has shown that manual synchronization is not reliable enough. This patch renames CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE into GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE which gets automatically generated by the asm-offsets tool. In the result, all definitions of this value can be deleted from the board config files. We have to make sure that all files that reference such data include the new <asm-offsets.h> file. No other changes have been done yet, but it is obvious that similar changes / simplifications can be done for other, related macro definitions as well. Note that the code for the PATI and cmi_mpc5xx board configurations looks seriously broken. The change is currently needed to be able to remove the board configuration scripting from the top level Makefile and replace it by a simple, table driven script. Moving this configuration setting into the "CONFIG_*" name space is also desirable because it is needed if we ever should move forward to a Kconfig driven configuration system. 2009-06-12mtd: MTD related config header changes (mtdparts command)Stefan Roese
By changing the cmd_mtdparts to only use the MTD infrastructure and not the direct interface to the CFI NOR FLASH driver we now need to add the MTD infrastructure to all boards using those mtdparts commands. 2009-03-20Separate mtdparts command from jffs2Stefan Roese
Currently the mtdparts commands are included in the jffs2 command support. This doesn't make sense anymore since other commands (e.g. UBI) use this infrastructure as well now. This patch separates the mtdparts commands from the jffs2 commands making it possible to only select mtdparts when no JFFS2 support is needed.
